is Sacriel becoming a bully?
discombobulated replied to daze23's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I merely wrote facts, sarcasm, and an assumption, none of which should lead you to believe that I think I know you. But yes you are correct I don't, if that makes you feel any better. -

Are you sure? The analogy fit fine actually, might have been in bad taste, but like I said, I didn't expect anyone to be stupid enough to take it seriously. And be my guest if you want to slap yourself in the face because you failed to see the point, blaming the victim for their actions. But don't bring up any valid points from my post, just slap away at that reddening cheek, and post an overused meme, showing is the true caliber of your brain power. Peace. -

I didn't mention anything about how he plays, if there was no diversity in characters, there would be no fun. The quote was in relation to his about how it is the persons fault for running into the path of his bullets, rather than his for firing the gun. The analogy was in no way meant to be taken seriously, because I didn't assume anyone would be so stupid as to do so. Glad to see you got past the first sentence anyway, nice to know people actually pay attention. Thumbs up to you! -

Lol, you seem to be the type of person who would also blame the women for dressing slutty and walking down the wrong street, instead of the rapist for being a complete (your own choice of swear word here). Also when I started out at the game, I sneaked around everywhere, then soon realised that it was a waste of time crawling past 19 Zeds to have the 20th spot you from 80 metres away, then sprint like Linford Christie at you till you hide in a bush. Pretty much every single person who runs knows exactly what they are doing, it doesn't instantly make it their fault that some fucktard is sitting on a hill with an AS50 waiting for someone to pop up in their FOV. You also fail to mention these people have already been up North as well, then PURPOSEFULLY come back to the coast just to shoot people that don't have a chance at shooting back. I have every right to complain about these people, If I had a gun, some supplies, a better backpack, then yes, sure, shoot me, I wouldn't care. The fact that they did it for the sake of getting a (completely well earned) kill, is just a bit pathetic. (Let it be known I haven't been killed by a Spawn Camper yet, but it doesn't make my statement any less true.) You don't even mention the New Spawns that are actually being sneaky, but just get unlucky by meeting someone on the same route who is already armed. Are these people to blame for their own misfortune? I guess it was their fault they ran into someone that kills unarmed people yes? Should have taken a left instead of a right at the last crossroads aye? -
Why did the DayZ players changed so much?(From friendly kids to backstabbing twats)
discombobulated replied to privatewolf's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
So you never wrote this sentence? Tell me you legitimately want to fight zombies and absolutely nothing else and I'll laugh and point you towards plenty of games where you can PvE until your heart stops beating. Because this isn't one of them. The line I quoted has no relevance to the notion that people play as Bandits because they don't care, it is just going down the bandit route of assuming everyone that doesn't shoot on sight is a "CareBear" It doesn't matter what your quote was in reply to, if you say something stupid like this I will call you out on it. As I said, No-one wants PvP out of the game, just more diversity. -

There is no logic in your post, I am wondering why you made it. No-one (with any credibility) wants PvP to be out of the game, but some people want more of a balance, where it's not an almost certain of how a situation will be played out. I find having diversity to a game brings more fun, than just expecting to shoot the next person you see. But sure, like you said, mentality. It's just a shame that half the worlds population has the mentality of a child, and can't comprehend trying a different route other than the easiest. -
Note-pads, pencils, and camping tents.
discombobulated replied to Muncywolverine's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Hi my name is N0T3BK, also known to my friends as NoteBook! Or I would have, if any of them were still alive, or had existed in the first place! (If you get this, you have probably been playing as little of DayZ as I have in recent days). If I found someone else's tent: "I say thank you for the free supplies, but so as to make sure you didn't feel too depressed about being robbed, I replaced everything in here with another little note telling you what I did with the item." Such as: "This ammo you had stocked up on, It didn't fit my gun, as I thought it was useless I dropped all of it about a mile away in another tent, I forget which direction." Or: "I really liked your gun, but since I had already moved the ammo I thought I would just put it in the lake. No, not that one pretty close to you on the map... A little further in the opposite direction... Further... Further... Ah there we go. Yes I know it's technically the sea, but meh." Even as far as: "The NVG's you left me are awesome, it's like they were designed to help you see at night. Shame I only use day servers. I thought for safe keeping I would put them in the fire stations in Elektro." Possibly: "I never even saw satchel charges in this game until this point, The explosion they made was awesome. Ever heard of the Nursery rhyme hey diddle diddle? Well, MOST of the cow got over the moon, I'd say at least 77% of it." -
Ridable/edible horses
discombobulated replied to Osaka (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Good idea, but if they were anything above very rare, then there would have to be downsides, such as the horse getting spooked by gunfire, either galloping off if you're shot at while on the ground, or rearing up and bolting if you're riding them. This is the sort of thing that could be awesome. Also not 100% on this, but horseshoes were designed so the horses didn't hurt their feet for prolonged use on roads, so possibly not necessary if it's only out in the countryside, but if venturing into a town you would need a set. -
Community Dying? Too many hackers?

What would you even do in a SP version of this? And everyone knows BF is about the MP, the SP sucked, yes, but it didn't ruin anything, what did ruin BF3 was the fact that after a year of it being out, and several patches, they still can't seem to get their game right, it's as if EA and DICE don't even play their game. -
Zombie killcount and murders...
discombobulated replied to nudedude's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Ok, I don't see your point in posting that, I never said I hadn't survived those types of situations, I just said that I find it irritating when the first hit after you drop below 9K is the one that knocks you out, so I wouldn't mind knowing when that threshold is. Again, I am well aware that Zombies are not much of a threat, I know how to handle myself. That doesn't mean that shit doesn't happen. You could be the biggest badass on DayZ, but it doesn't make you immune. All it takes is a lucky (or glitchy) hit from a Zed and you're down. It is stupid to have a threshold for something, if you're not able to work out where it actually is. -
Zombie killcount and murders...
discombobulated replied to nudedude's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Except the fact that a Zombie is almost bound to knock you out when they hit you. This is the point I was getting at, if you missed that, then I really don't know what else to say. I play solo a lot, so getting KO'd by a Zed can actually be fatal, seeing as is takes a couple of minutes to get back up and get the Zeds off you, that's providing you don't get KO'd as soon as you regain conciousness anyway. -

Actually I would prefer to have the blood level count back in, seeing as now I can't tell if a zombie is going to knock me out or not if they get too close (It's Sods Law, as soon as my blood drops one less than 9000 I get Joe Calzaghe'd to the face and end up dying from it). I didn't realise it could be turned back on, and I don't necessarily want the whole debug monitor, maybe just some noticeable difference in the blood HUD, so I can plan to lose the zombies without them getting too close. I know it get's steadily Redder the more blood you lose, but that doesn't help when there is no noticeable difference between the HUD at 9100, and 8900. -
Why is the M14 so overlooked?
discombobulated replied to Inception.'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I see a lot of people preferring the FAL to the M14 (not necessarily here, just the people I've come across) and aside from the burst fire (which probably does nothing but waste super rare ammo at distances) there is nothing good about the FAL that isn't better on the M14. Personal preference anyway. I am now wondering whether on my main character I want an M24 and M14, or DMR and M14, I can play on both day and night servers, I have the NVG's, so night servers would probably be better suited, but I love the M24, definitely my preferred choice over the DMR. Oh and to add I don't set up camps or anything, I'm not too fussed about having to start all over. And if worst comes to the worst I have the location of a camp site I can "borrow" some stuff from if need be. Decisions, Decisions. -
Lol, it probably wasn't the people who created the camp that marked its position, rather the guy that comes across it and loots what he needs from it.
