LESS KoS, not none. Also, all that means is that melee & stealth will be that much more useful and crucial in engagements. Time to bust out my high frequency blade! Chop chop, slice slice. Who even cares about diseases? Just stab all the people with medicine to death, 'n take their stuff. Or die, respawn with a healthy body and run back to your corpse. -

lolololol You're assuming I'm goin to cry if I can't find a gun to kill peeps with. Any weapon will do, whether it needs ammo or not. Adaptability is the essence of survival. -

I prefer to use fear to defeat my enemies rather than relying on any particular type of weapon. Does that make me good? Who knows. Unfortunately zombies are beyond such base human emotions. In that way at least they are more evolved and stronger than mere humans are.

What would you do to him/her? I'd give him a fully repaired heli filled with top-notch gear. And then blow him up with a rocket launcher as he was taking off. -
Has anyone ever targeted someone specifically based on their class or status in this before? Or have you been targeted? If so, what happened? Also, say what you want, but in an authentic situation like DayZ's, stuff like this would be absolutely rampant. Sorry, that's how people really are deep down. It's been proven through out entire human history again and again.

considering arma 2 doesn't make efficient use of cpu power at all, I would say yes. It does fine with GPU, CPU is the problem. they also said items/zombies are going to be initialized server-side rather than locally which means your cpu will be handling much less AI -
m1911/revolvers still don't one-two bodyshot kill I can still shoot people twelve times with them before they start to even show symptoms of a possible flesh wound. thought 1.7.7 patched this?

IKR I have fantastic aim in all shooters and I have more of a hard time head shotting zombies in this than almost anything in recent memory (it reminds me of trying to aim in RE4 for the first time back when I was fifteen) I do occasionally get fast headshots in this on sprinters, but it's rarely in succession, and it's usually with the glock because that thing is amazing and the other pistols are piss. So I just have to chuckle at the people who go 'lol you must not headshot them' They have already tried to patch this out of the arma 2 beta themselves, it's just that the current DayZ update is broken an didnt actually fix it. You may think it's authentic, but I don't. Opinions mang. -

Currently DayZ pretty much has all the rifle families represented in it and covered pretty well. But handguns are woefully under-appreciated. Everything is either a .45 or a 9mm, and even within those families there is not a lot of variety. Solution: we need moar guns. Main handgun calibers to look into adding would be varieties of .22/.357/10mm pistols. And of course who wouldn't want a .50 cal Deagle to play with?

Why don't you go play CoD and quit hamming up the forums with such tripe? I doubt it. Most things in the SA so far have just been copy-pasta'd straight from ARMA 2 and the mod, I'm pretty sure they'll be about as thorough with the arsenal. The video you sent me just seemed like a minor off-hand comment. I'll check first of course before I even buy the SA, no cool guns, no buying 8) Who would want to play a zombie survival game with only limp Russian garden hoses in it? LoL! -

The AR is more reliable, and the M14 beats the SHIT out of any Russian rifle. If there were no M14 I probably wouldn't even bother with SA, lol. They won't remove it though. They'll keep all the main staples from the mod, that's just a given. -

No, I'd rather just play this. Source info? Also, there's no such thing really as a 'civilian' gun. All guns at some point were manufactured to arm a standing militia. If all you're going to do is include 'hunting weapons from Russian backwater' that's going to be a very tiny arsenal. -

So basically take out all the cool, superior egineered western rifles and replace them with lame russian plinkers and lead hoses. Okay. I dont' really care about what fits with the Russian setting, I want to shoot players and zombies with cool guns. I'm pretty sure 99% people who play this would agree. -
Remove attack helis entirely, or put AMRs back in the game.

How the hell am I supposed to shoot down that ridiculous Mi-17 now? Machine guns are once in a blue moon (you never have them when a heli shows up) and the rocket launcher is completely unviable, don't even mention it.
