It IS always a choice. If you choose to play on a server with it enabled, you are choosing to do that. You can also select a random spawn on those servers. STOP WHINING. -

What you say is true, none of those things will reduce KOS because it does not address the actuality of how and why people are behaving when it comes to KOS. People KOS because they can, to put it simply. To put it another way: "The strong shall live and the weak shall die. That's the natural order of things. I can't understand why you have to help the weak, weak people are irrelevant. Shishio made me realize that the strong should live. He taught me to kill the weak and be aware of the strong people. Shishio gave me a sword, and if not for that sword I wouldn't be alive today. He also made me realize that I don't have a choice. If I don't kill them, they'll kill me. But the truth is, I never really wanted to kill anybody." -

If all those hacks were available from the beginning, that means there are a TON of un-exposed vulnerabilities still existing in the engine. A lot of the hacker slow down is probably just due to less people playing and having gotten bored with it. -

No offense, but American's have the most money in the world to buy games, and generally an english translation of an IP usually gets developed before any others are ready. Even if this isn't true, it's likely that the US distribution of DayZ will come before any others. Jus sayin'

I only play on 0 pop servers until I get an as50. Then I go to the top of a hill, log out, and log in to a 50 or more server. -

I started up a DayZ mod steam group for people that want a group to play with, either in the mod or when the stand alone comes out. To join the group: go to here, log in to your steam profile and join. The group is currently public so anybody can get in without any in-between. Once the group reaches 20 members, the plan is to open up our own server (whitelist) for people to play on.

I would honestly be surprised if things weren't almost just as hectic as when the mod first came out... Hacks everywhere. There's simply too many vulnerabilities in the engine itself. Just because scripts can't be written as easily, doesn't mean they can't be made. -

Do you have any understanding of human biology? Males have approxiately 8% more muscle mass than females. The coin can easily be flipped here, you know: Some men want to be female, but can't because of their gender.
