i agree with you on melee and backpack ... but you lost me at skills. Im sorry but this is not battlefield 3 this is an apocalypse simulator. Your a normal civilian trying to survive and that's what it simulates. Now for the health bar. It really would not make a difference if it was higher besides bleeding out. Imagine getting eaten alive in real life? Or getting shot by someone in real life? you would pretty much be dead instantly. For broken bones, i think you should be able to crouch for a little but that's it. Bloodpacks, bloodpacks don't come with blood you need to find the blood for it.... Please this is something i want everyone in this community to remember. This game is not CoD or BF3 it is meant to simulate an Apocalypse and simulate what a normal person would go through. A normal person just doesn't have engineering skills out of nowhere. Some of these i agree with. The rest would be completely changing to game from its original state.

Yes it is certainly possible. Not sure if we can pull it off now though. The game is fairly new and the current servers would not sustain with 100 people running around unless you want ungodly lag. But it is certainly possible and maybe in the distant future.

This really amuses me. Some people in this community think this is the full game. Please remember this game is in Alpha not even in beta yet let alone full game. So of course there are gonna be many glitches. Think it took minecraft months to get out of alpha and many more to get out of beta hell im not even sure if there out of beta now. So if you don't like it either stop playing wait a year or 2 until the real game is released. As of now just play the game and report back on bugs.

Now before we get started, This suggestion has nothing to do with actual gameplay but with the DayZ Forums. I was thinking the mods should make a new sub-forum for newbies to the game. The sub-forum could go within DayZ section. Basically people and mods could fill this section of the forum with tutorialsand helpful videos. I thought about this after reading a suggestion on the inventory. The inventory for me when i started playing was so hard and took me 2 days to get used to because i had no help or guide. But once i did find out how to use it, It was generally very easy. The idea behind this tutorial sub-forum is that a normal player can submit a video about how to use said inventory or many other things to help players get used to it. Idk it was just a random thought i had.

What part about you are an alpha tester do you not get? This is not the full game your testing it for the release.

It is a glitch with Arma and not DayZ just wait it out. My temporary solution is to just relog in the server or move to a different one.

This would be a good idea but im not sure if such an animation exists in Arma2, If it does not it would be a serious pain in the ass for the developers to make a custom animation for this game.

Well i do understand the value of reading. But if you did have a mic you could convey your words to him faster and better. Plus there's the human element. Just talking to this guy via chat you can be no different from a robot. But in a mic you have a human voice and emotion. So despair and anger can drive people not to shoot you.

Yes i do agree it is getting annoying. People complaining they should remove barbwires, Snipers, zombies, One person even saying we should remove night time. These people dont realize this game is not based around you or what is convenient to you, its a simulator not a game of WoW either adjust to it or quit.

When i first started playing people would claim there friendly then once my guard went down, They would shoot me or stab me. So now if your not in my clan or teamspeak/skype your gonna get shot on site no questions asked.

What thatguycalledreptile said. Also i love how this community always contradicts each other. The CoD kiddies want the zombies and everything easier. The simulation and realism nuts like me want it to be harder. I would enjoy zombies being harder it would make a great addition. My only gripe would be the fact that zombies see a little to far for the fact that there flesh and eyeballs are rotting.

If you only have starting gear. Press start and click respawn to kill yourself. Then start the spawning process over again. Edit: What do you mean its darkened post a screenshot.

You had a gun. Whose to say after you said friendly and got his guard down you weren't just gonna shoot him. Happened to me too many times. So unless your in my clan or in my team speak chat your gonna get shot on sight.

Do you really care about the zombies aesthetics that much? I mean there all the same once you kill them, A pile of rotting flesh that just tried to eat your face.

My vote goes to either Japan or Europe. Its a bit of a biased vote because of my love for cities. But the vast amount of buildings make for great loot and ways to lose zombies. Also giant abandoned industrial warehouses player factions can take over etc.

Yes you can hop over it, if said barbed wire is bugged and not placed correctly. Even so if you do hop over the bugged or improperly placed barbed wire have fun with a high chance of breaking your leg. Hmm for some reason this post just made me giggle. Not because of the standalone idea, But because of the releasing it on console. First the consoles internet would not be able to handle more than about 16 people in one server at a time. Second the consoles GPU might not be able to render the entire map. (Might be wrong on that, but i don't think so) Third a console controller would not be able to use even half of the buttons you have to use on DayZ. This game is a game never meant to come onto console and it never will.

unfortunately that statement has some truth into it. The CoD community is starting to seep into DayZ because they hear it has FPS elements and zombies.

Im sure the mods are working on it. My solution, I just move to a different server or reload the server im on. That always seems to work for me.
