@blom, you seem kind of mad bro? My opinion on the game is clearly invalid because I feel "Entitled"? Not sure you know the definition of entitled? Pull your thumb out of your ass and use it to turn the pages of a dictionary and tell me how i feel entitled again.

I love it when you people say "It's in alpha, we shouldn't even be able to play it" But there would be no stand-alone if it wasn't released to the community in "alpha", and there wouldn't be nearly a million people waiting to buy on release. The community that has alpha tested this mod is the reason that Bohemia is financing the game and letting hall lead it. because we made it popular. So scrub off!

they call games like these "shooters" for a reason. To test hand-eye-coordination and skills. I don't see any skills that would be involved with any of the mentioned subjects in the game. Besides, DayZ is shooting for authenticity- not realism.

I suppose you're right. The only reasonable thing to do is take a break from the mod itself, and keep a watchful eye out for information leading to an update or the stand alone! I suppose i can keep myself busy on GW2 for the time being.

I'm really not trying to complain, i was just asking for useful feedback that could help me enjoy a mod that has had very enjoyable moments. I'm not asking for hacking and other big problems to be fixed, i know those lye within the game itself. I really enjoy DayZ, i just don't like that the things i enjoyed doing in DayZ aren't really fun anymore (pvp on high pop server). I just don't think the mod is in it's prime anymore, that's all. I'm excited for the stand-alone, but I'd be happy and excited if a dev poked their nose in the forums for a few minutes to say "Hey everybody, we're making progress!". Maybe i'm just being selfish though.

Just finished installing! I agree with side chat being an element of the game. It's fun and creates an opportunity for people in game to communicate before they're in each other's iron sights. I don't find that very fun, and seeing as i play games to enjoy progression, i just can't get on your playing field. Cheers for finding positives in it though. Not sure what you're getting at with the last part though. Though I do love a lee enfield, one shot knock out ftw

I enjoy playing on a server with side chat on too, if anything other than be crowded, it gives a few good laughs. Not sure if i could hunt cows lol. And i don't like helping other survivors, no one has once helped me- and i don't believe in karma!

There seems to be nothing left to test in the mod. No new content, no real bug fixes, we don't even see Rocket or the Devs in the forums anymore. So what do we do now until the stand alone is released? Run around with Lee Enfield's until a scripter kills us again? Only play on private hive servers? What do you guys to do pass the time on DayZ now?
