Whoa now, so wait a second here Minecraft was more simple to make? Your talking about someone coding a from scratch engine, textures and scripting the ENTIRE game from scratch. While DayZ is a mod where the engine, textures and scripts are all provided for the modder is more complex? Notch made his money by simply putting on sale with his own site to fabricate the funding needed. He did that all by himself, no publishers and no marketing. Rocket can stand to do something similar to Counter Strike did gaining outside support to help his mod and maybe future stand alone title at the rate this mod is gaining momentum. But only time can tell at the moment.

I love all the posturing on this thread, Yet the chances of you all ever encountering one another is so remote It would be almost on par with winning a large community lottery. Yet you all talk about how easily you can kill one another, I want to see screen shots of confirmed kills video would be even better but I ain't picky. Until then talk all the smack you want and puff out those peacock feathers ladies.

Yes it is a game and yes you can easily kill someone and move on like it is no big deal. But there is the fact that in this game, unlike most games there is a very real sense of loss when you die. In my first few lives I felt it quite keenly when I had a decent set up of gear. I never feel bad when I put someone down because they failed to meet my criteria for leaving them alone (Not responding to friendly, iron sighting me, ect) I have my own rules that I live by when playing as so do others.

Well this a fun topic with plenty of sniper on sniper drama and all kinds of kill ethics this game seems to revolve around. I find it silly that people claim counter sniping is easy when you need to consider that if the sniper is any good he will: A ) Be outside the city limits. B ) Not putting up a silhouette on a hill. C ) Be 400+ meters out to not spawn zombies around him. D ) Be playing in a server with no name plating. E ) Have all high value spots ranged out for fast zeroing. F ) Will have a spotter with him, good snipers work in pairs. I can keep going but those six key elements are what will keep a good sniper alive and well. If he is carrying a weapon like an AS50, or a M24 good hunting because he is gonna be one hell of a hard target to sight.

I ave actually stopped playing the mod for now until this is resolved, there is no point in letting someone get the upper hand on me because this game has a serious visual glitch.
