I do agree that the SA should have been $15/20 the price should go up to $39.99 or whatever upon it's final release, but yea, it is what it is I guess. Yea, I did follow the forums for a while and although I didn't read every single page, I did however read every announcement or dev blog & watch the 5 minute videos of what's going on in DayZ SA etc. I guess it paid off, because I'm full of DayZ knowledge :) Lol. :beans: -

Dude, but what did you expect? You know how Dean specifically said "I urge you NOT to buy the alpha, it is broken and has many many bugs"... This statement was basically for people like you. No offense, but you did buy an ALPHA and you should consider yourself as a tester. Things will break, you will lose items, and there will be character swipes. In order to have a good time, you MUST understand this before playing. -

2nd character slot is not a bad idea. I too play with friends and we generally log on together, but sometimes I would like to play and they aren't around. -

1. It takes a while to appear. Sometimes 1 to 2 minutes. When you drop the item, if it doesn't appear right away, just wait... it will. 2. Hm, never really had this issue. Normally I transfer my stuff to the item I'm going to pick up, then I pick it up. However, I have swapped clothes with items on it and all that happens is the item from the floor gets equipped and the item that I was wearing with the stuff just ends up on the floor with the gear on it. -

The update "should have" marked the servers that aren't the correct version on your server list. I would try this out and give you a more definitive answers, but I'm at work. For example though, DayZ commander would tell you if you had a bad version by dimming or making the font dark gray where as the current version that you can play would have a white font and be brighter. -

You can use an axe to open up cans. You can also use a screwdriver I believe. However, this comes at a cost! You will only have 50% or 75% left of the item if you open with either of these two. -

Design: Player blood and health not regenerating naturally What does this mean? Was our health/blood being regenerated while we were just running around or does this mean that our health/blood was being regenerated when we ate? -

Hit ESC and select respawn. This will kill you and you will respawn. -
Lol, I think my priorities would change a little bit... no worries my man! :beans: On a side note, I'm definitely nicer in the SA. Although, that might be because I haven't found a sniper rifle yet. Lol. That's another thing, I only KoS if I have a sniper rifle. I don't KoS because I have a M4 and want your crap. I rather try to "rob" you, IF I see that you have something I want.

Skill, practice, the thrill. Idk, like I said, it's just something that makes me feel good. lol. I like knowing that I hit you at 600m out on one shot. Not many people can do that.

I also KoS on the mod because I like the feeling of sitting on a building in Cherno and waiting for someone to come in town to test my skills with the SVD or another type of sniper rifle. I actually know how to use my scope to determine what range my target is at. Depending on the target and time of kill, I actually don't even loot the body after the kill... unless needed (food/water). One shot, one kill. Easier said than done in DayZ, especially with a moving target.

I hunted people down for fun on the mod. However, in the SA, I don't KoS. Now that we have character animations with a click of a key (F1, F2, etc.) it's a lot easier to communicate on the fly before being shot at. On top of that, people just seemed nicer for the first few days so far. Of the 6 people I ran into on the first day, 5 of the 6 were friendly.

man, they should add books with "tips" in them on how things combine with each other. That would make picking up books a little more useful. -

Unconcious Fix - Saline Revives

If you hit TAB, next to your characters picture it will say "thirsty" or "sick" or "hungry". This option wasn't there upon first release. I've never been unconscious because I ignored these signs, I've only be knocked out by a zombie at the moment. -

Menu option while playing... You might have to use your middle mouse button or spacebar might work. -
I tried to login to report bugs on the forum, but I get denied saying that my login is blocked or incorrect. Anyone else have this problem? Just trying to do my part as a "tester". :rolleyes:

A few things I've noticed which may have already been posted, but I'm at work and don't have much time to read 6 pages lol... apologize in advance! Here is my list of items that should be worked on: 1. Zombie clipping - Zombies walk through walls. I tried escaping from some zombies and went into a house, closed the front door and ran out the back while closing the back door behind me in hopes to give a little delay to the zombie, but nope. Ran right through it all lol. 2. Unconscious - I got knocked unconscious because of a zombie and while on the floor my body was dragging itself forward. When I would come out of unconscious, my body just kept dragging itself and the zombie would come hit me again and knock me back out. This happened over n over like 4 times and I finally just hit respawn to kill myself. 3. Melee - I know the dev team knows that melee is pretty much out of wack. Especially with any wep other than an axe. Also, please allow a right hand option for holding the axe. 4. In-game VOIP - I logged in and could hear this one guy talking and breathing in his mic. He wasn't near me because I heard him throughout the whole game, I had to mute VOIP. Some of buddies across town heard him too while others didn't. Weird. I only got to play for about 2 hours, but that's what I remember bothering me the most. It was actually a pretty good experience... I would say 3 out of 4 players I ran into were actually friendly. Thanks for the SA!!!!!!
