It hit me yesterday. Quite literally. [background story] I was on a fairly small server just killing Zombies for fun in and around Cherno... just pace testing myself. On a "what if i played this game like L4D(2) etc" basis. When once again; the almighty yellow checkered shirt 'farmer' looking zombie hits me (with 11K health) and instantly broke my legs. Leaving me no choice but to release round after round of my AKM as my blood dropped by 1000 each second just to see how much i could down before it was all over. But for a survival game. A game border-lining on an realistic take on a zombie/infected apocalypse that wouldn't just happen would it? I wouldn't have subjected myself to pretty much admitting death was the inevitable because of my injury because in real life. This is where adrenaline would've carried me through. I would've limped; used every last ounce of what power i have left to ensure i live on to see another day. It's a very natural thing to do; being able to run faster, temporary gain strength, improve precision and decision making. Hell if you've ever been Paintballing you know exactly what I'm talking about. That brief moment where you know; for a fact. Physically and mentally. You've improved. All because you were in pain or in trouble. [The TL:DR bit] That's where this thread stems from. The idea of being able to gain a very slight adrenaline rush in times of chaos. Of course my problem (and the reason why i post this idea here) is i'm unsure how an inner body chemical reaction; this form of moral boost and determination could be portrayed in a game? It's where i need your help: First of all is it even a good idea to start with? When should it be activated? Only with broken bones whilst being pursued by Zombies for example? Thus entering some form of generic 'limping' state as if i'm the feeble clumsy character who fell over earlier and about to get axed by the movies antagonist? Would it have any visual effects on screen? Or simply a mention in the Debug Monitor? If it was included, would it work in PvP combat? Would i be able to bandage faster? Decrease the wobble usually only fixed by using painkillers? Would it only work upon being injured? Or say if a nearby survivor falls to his doom. Would you be able to gain it and then decide whether to help (knowing it should be a cakewalk) or use the gained advantage to run away? And ideas would be appreciated. I'd like to see what others think about this idea; and how'd they'd go about using it.

Other than general issues with common bugs. Like not being able to pick up an Alice pack because here are items surrounding it. The only thing i hate about the engine is it's feeling of unresponsiveness. Like pulling out my pistol whilst on the run from Zombies... You know the ridiculous amounts of blood + bandages i would've saved if i didn't have to pause to take out my M1911?? Oh and i also agree with the vault thing... The cleanest vault i've ever seen remains in BF3 thus far. Whilst this one (animation wise) makes sense; it feels as if your characters a bit too.. paranoid, or cautious for his own good. Which makes him slow... and unresponsive. -

Needs to just get rid of it if you ask me, Player placed? Randomly spawning? It shouldn't exist as it's sole purpose is an inconvenience. If it affected zombies, or people used them to make decent traps or ambushes; maybe, MAYBE i wouldn't mind. But as long as it only remains as that extra 3 minutes of idiocy as i try to vault over it to eventually 'loot' an empty church in the middle of elektro i fail to see the point in it's inclusion. -

Looting Cherno at night is the way forward tbh. Although the light just after sundown is better in terms of visibility which is what i played in last night whilst I attempted to fix a bus. Some of the best; most efficient looting i've done. Until i was shot dead after i finally found the last peice i needed for the bus. -

Artifacting? Anyone care to elaborate? Is it that annoying graphical error i get near military places that takes over my screen until i re-jig some settings (ever since the last patch). Just wondering because i've always been wondering how to describe or reference the issue. -
Tension and paranoia. With the off chance at co-op work. Although it needs quite a few fixes to amplify the tension as the bugs often ruin it. Yesterday i was lying on a hill hearing footsteps overlooking elektro. two dead bodies nearby makinjg faint footstep sounds; that combined with the fact taking out my Bino's make 3 distinct footprint sounds for some odd reason kinda made me more paranoid than i probably needed to be.

God i hate tank traps and barbed wire. I actually wouldn't mind if people used them as traps (and i don't know why that is as it meant i'd die). But at the moment as it stands; every single one i've come across is a nusance blocking a doorway of somewhere i need to be because of the zombies chasing me. That and the annoying graphical glitch i noticed tank traps can give off blocking your entire view from city-lengths away. -

I have noticed i seem to play a more Rambo into Elektro/Cherno since the hackers got noticeable. Been in and seen some pretty intense gun fights since. Even seen the remains of others. Just starting to get ticked off at the fact that even if i want to purely survive and play with other people as friendly's (which i have to say i seem to find a decent amount of recently) is going to end up with spawning into a server and being teleported and killed instantly. I might as well get some satisfaction in the fact that at least on this death i was able to fight back. -
I saw the whole of elektro on fire today... The 2-D fire particle effect/texture extended far beyond the city itself however. Not the first time i've seen this bug; definately seems to be caused by heli crashes often though.

Probably looted... Heli crashed generate a lot of fire and smoke. It's almost stupidly annoying to know in a 225x255KM map a guy is often 200M or less away from you or the place you want to be. Even on a server of under 10 people.

Dumbest thread ever. Me and my friend sitting on top of the highest building in Cherno today. Killed a guy up there; he took his 50. Cal sniper. I had my M4A1. We;re doing well at this point just need to grab some food. Friend kills a guy with the sniper in a ghillie suit not too far from our position. I go to investigate. Climbing down the ladder i hear a silenced pistol taking out zombies below me. Get off on a platform and wait. Tell my freind (still on the highest building in Cherno completely hidden from anyone else). A loud crack (Winchester possibly?) and i'm dead. My freind hears footsteps; nobodies spawned up top but he can hear crouch walking... From below... Like they're popping their head round the corner; or getting into position. Next thing you know a silenced pistol goes off; straight headshot. My friend also now dead. You think it's fair that some hacker managed to position or spawn himself in the building we we're on top of? Then proceed to kill us through the walls? Or do i have to tell you the story where i was teleported against my own will to a place with 15 or-so other players and blown up before i could even take out my AK-47 upon loading into the server?

Zombies just need to be fixed... Full stop. Their animation and the collision detection mainly. Apart from that... they'd be pretty fine. Only reason they move and attack so F'ed up is that according to Rocket as a programmer multiplying the speed value by x was his way of making them faster; not taking in account the animation itself. So once the animations are done and the collision is fixed so they can't superman through wall because of the current "I'm a zombie and i'm about to hit you so for this current period of time collision detection with walls and house objects is out of the question". After that's sorted; we'd be fine; well not fine... But a lot less frustrated with the 1-hit K.O. that can happen as we couldn't blame odd movement or glitchy behavior. Just that we got caught. As for you unlucky; it's happened to me; just not that often. -

Yeah they need to desperately up the power of certain guns, E.g. the Makarov Put 5 bullets into a single zombie earlier today. The remaining 3 in his head. Thats a whole mag and i haven't even dealt with his friend yet. Even my Winchester feels like a paintball gun against them now.
