What would you give me for an AS50? I have quite a few m107 mags. I think I might have a couple AS50 mags as well. I will have to check next time I play.

So I just logged on. I was looking around with my FN FAL ,which took some work to get, and all of the sudden everyone on the server is killed including me. I dont know if this is a bug, a server glitch, or a hacker. I am not complaining. I would just like to know why this happened. I have now lost all my stuff including my as50, NVG's, and my FAL. :(

Exactly. I am currently on top of the firehouse in elektro. I just found czech bp, akm, and 1911. Time to do some killing! Not the people that have nothing. The ones with weapons! :) Edit: I drank a mountain dew on my login before this one. hmmmmm.....

Well, that is frustrating. At least DayZ is still loads of fun when you start all over. Now I can start collecting gear and get into firefights in elektro without losing any valuable stuff!

I am in dire need of a blood transfusion. I am close to the factory at the outskirts of elektro. I am willing to provide the blood bag and may give a little extra. :)

I was able to connect to 1 out of the past 30 servers I have tried to connect to.

So, hi people. I am new to DayZ and just got done playing a "session" I still cannot always tell which buildings I can and cannot enter. I was so happy when I found a hatchet and I just found my first gun. A revolver... Do you "pros" have any tips for me on how to survive, fight zombies, and find better gear?

Update: A motorbike, ATV and Ural Civilian have been added to the vehicle collection.

I now have a nice little collection of the rarest guns you can get in the game...Also have 4 different vehicles! Yay!

I will be sure to contact you if I ever need any help. I can understand how you would be nervous about your patient getting killed as well as yourself.

Are we ever allowed to just stop by and see what is going on without making a "commitment"? I would still of course check in any weapons at front gate and such.

I am not for for against the idea of wielding two pistols at one time, but I must ask this. Why are some of you saying it is unrealistic to shoot two pistols at one time when you can stuff a couple .50 cal snipers into a backpack strapped onto your back and start running?

Well, I logged in today and It spawned me at the ocean with all my stuff. Now I have to walk all the way back and I cant find the "campsite" exactly. Out of my group, I was the only one without a map so I dont know exactly where it is. Only thing I can do now is log off around the general area and wait for my friends to log on.

I was playing with a few friends and we got some pretty good stuff. I had a nice weapon, lots of medical and food supplies, and a nice camo outfit. I logged back out to sleep. This morning, about 5 mins ago, I log back in and before it lets me get into the game, it says I was killed. I end up respawning next to the ocean. I still have all my stuff but now I am very far away from where I want to be. Anyone know why this happened? ( I am not complaining. The game is in Alpha.)

The women certainly couldnt of driven away. The reason for this? Read the second word.

Update: I feel I am getting much better at this game. I currently possess a bus, UAZ, some m107's, as50, a few ak's, L85 with that thermal scope, a few fn fals, an fn fal with a thermal scope, night vision goggles, m249 saw, alice pack, and lots of beans.

I am still fairly new to this, but I learn to get better everyday. Everyone dies eventually. I had an m14 and 1911. Survived for a few days. Died. I had an AS-50 (whatever it is called) (found it in a firehouse?) and revolver, died. I now have a pdw, makarov, and a lee enfield. Eventually, I will die.

Everytime I log into a server, my guy is unconscious. This has happend for my past 5 respawns. Any help? I have lots of stuff and dont want to die.

That would be cool. On another note: I dont see that many people in-game. First person I saw had nothing and was being chased by zombies. I also had nothing and we both ended up getting killed. The second time, I was just walking past these huge military sheds/hangars and saw a lot of dead military zombies. I started to hear gunshots. There were three shots in total and were about 5-10 seconds apart from each other. (From what I know, that suggests some type of bold action sniper?) The third shot ended up hitting and killing me.

This may be me, but I find the controls for interacting with gear and picking up and dropping items a bit clunky...

I did manage to get a hunting knife and a hatchet. I am not sure where I am but it looks like some old industrial shipping port. (best name i could come up with) I really want to find some sort of vehicle... What should I do now? Do I stay and look for more stuff (lots of zombies around me) Or do I tread off into the woods?
