    Restraining of Players

    At best this will lead to you getting restrained, then robbed, then made fun of and eventually you'd probably still be killed like before. Honestly I don't see much of an improvement there. ^^ I'm all for new features, but this is probably not an important one.

    Day Z Logo

    I like the "alpha" stamp, that one looks nice. As far as the rest is concerned however... lets just say you need to learn a thing or two about typography. Ps.: A good logo is not about using tons of fancy photoshop effects. That doesnt mean you cant use those effects, but it should also work without them.
  3. Just hypothetically speaking: If a clan server has... lets say 40 slots. And that clan has 40 or more members online and reserves its right to kick other players so that clanmates can join. Wouldn't that practically be the same as passwording it? So while it makes perfect sense to free up a slot for a paying member. It should be done with great care and have some limitations because I think a hive-connection for a clanserver shouldn't be taken for granted. I think there should be some decisive rules about this as DayZ is clearly not a game for private sessions (at least not als long as a server is connected to the hive) and some people seem to have difficulties understanding that concept.

    You are badly informed: http://dayzmod.com/character/display.php?char=76251 It currently says 18 murders. As far as I am concerned: I don't mind the PVP in this game. It's what makes it such a thrilling experience. However I don't consider gunning down freshly spawned noobs as PVP. Griefing is what it is and it wouldn't hurt to do something against it.

    Bolts : 3 or 5 in 1 slot

    How about a quiver that can be found as an additional item which takes up 2 or 3 slots and can hold ~20-30 bolts. It should be possible to tie it to the pick-up action so that bolts get added directly to it when picking them back up. Additionally an action that appears whenever you have both a quiver and single bolts in your inventory, allowing you to put those bolts in the quiver.

    List of Weapons

    Having used those weapons in ArmA1/2 for a long time, some of those values in the list seem a bit odd to me. Especially the m16a2 m203 "accuracy: very low" What ? This is normally just as accurate as the m16a2 without m203. Talking about a lack of range with the AKM seems a bit weird to me. It may not have a scope, but that means nothing. As far as the Ak74 is concerned, its main advantage over the AKM and AK47 is the lower recoil at the cost of less damage. The crossbow isn't inaccurate... its just hard to use. Oh and to all those who just bought arma for this mod... theres that feature called "Armory" that you can find under singleplayer. Go there, pick the weapon you'd like to practice with and fire away. I also includes random challenges and what not. Useful for example if you want to get a hang on how the crossbow handles at range.

    Zombie Crowd

    1. go into city 2. fire hunting rifle 3. wait Except maybe for the nice loot, having a zombie crowd is THAT easy. ;) No honestly, I'm not sure if that would work well or even if it would make much sense. Also I think the crowd would have to be fairly huge or more than one crowd... and they would also have to be optimized by spawning/despawning them when players are near, which could be a bit awkward for a moving horde. Alternately I think having stationary hordes form in random places (near villages, ruins or roads) would work nicely. Spawn some corpses with special loot on them and have the zombies swarm around them. (like a group of military survivors who got overrun by the horde)

    Combine clips

    I know, but if you find ammo only in the form of magazines (the current state), then this is completely unnecessary and I see no real benefit from it. :angel: To me, the ability to combine mags is all it needs. Take the ACE2 mod for example: They've added all sorts of crazy stuff like beeing able to rest your weapon on the shoulder of a comrade. Ofcourse they also have the combine-mags functionality. Yet they've not seen any necessity to add empty magazines and seperate ammo.

    Gun to bag glitch

    Never try to put anything in your backpack that doesnt fit in it. Primary weapons need 8 free slots !!! Even if you replace something from you backpack (sidearm for example) Dont put the sidearm youre using in the backpack... do it the other way around. Take the one inside the backpack out, the sidearm youre holding will then be placed in the backpack. Backpacks do have a few issues, some of them engine-related. However, you wont normally have any problems if you know how to handle them. edit.: + what felix said :)

    Combine clips

    No need for empty magazines or pure ammo boxes, simply beeing able to combine the magazines you have is enough and that has been done in other Arma2 mods already. If you have two magazines with 12/30 shots each, combine them and get one with 24/30 shots. If you have 20/30 and 15/30 you'll get one with 30/30 and one with 5/30. This works pretty well, so theres no need to overcomplicate it. In case you didnt notice, arma2 unlike many games already handles half-spent magazines and doesn't magically give you a full clip whenever you reload. It just doesnt handle combining them (atleast not without mods)

    to spice up the game.

    I wouldn't even give hints on where it was dropped. Make it a random position. People can figure out where it landed by watching the plane fly and seeting the goods fall down (on a parachute). If that is too hard, the drop could include a flare which lights up the dropsite for a while. Alternately (suggested by someone else before), instead of having a supplydrop, it could be a helicopter or plane crash. Atleast that makes more sense to me than a c130 dropping (possibly military grade) supplies in the middle of nowhere. Again this wouldn't be too hard to locate if you see its flight-path, especially with the impact and all that.

    First Impressions....

    If you find too many tincans, there is a very simple solution to that. Pick them up! Do so and soon something new/else will spawn in that spot. I often pick up all the trash and put it on a heap. It works wonders. I also cant really confirm your food-problems. You usually find plenty in houses. If you dont, then dig in somewhere and kill a couple of zombies, they also often have cans of food. Best solution however is to first scavenge for a hunters knife + matchsticks, that way you can hunt for food, which is very effective. A cow gives you 8 pieces of meat, a sheep 4, a goat 3, and you can even kill a rabbit (which can be found everywhere in the woods) for 1 meat. Inventory management is an essential skill, learn it. The size of the backpacks is fine. For example: You don't have to carry around a dozen magazines for your winchester. You find ammo for that gun all the time, so carrying 3-6 magazines is easily enough, depending on how you play. Here are the basic supplies I usually try to have (I normally dont carry more of these unless I have excessive space in my backpack): 2 painkillers 3 bandages 2 morphine 2-3 bottles of water (which i refill whenever i can) 1-2 units of food. So even a backpack with 10 slots would be enough to hold the minimum of this. (not even counting your inventory slots) Zombie spawns are usually not an issue if you move carefully and keep your eyes peeled. As far as buildings in the woods are concerned... if you have a map you can plan your route accordingly and avoid those. I agree about the bandit-thing though. It is a bit too common currently.

    I know how complex and problematic the process of changing a playermodel is so if it helps: YES scrap them. However, we could really use something to disencourage people from gunning down helpless newcomers (with makarovs) all the time.

    Molotovs?

    Molotov are very well possible through scripting. Not even that hard to do (except for the usual hassle with multiplayer scripting). Just dont expect any sort of spreading fire, I bet it would be more like a burning area that causes damage when you get too close. (atleast that is the easiest way to do it)

    Yeh, you could call it that way. It's the smallest of the 3 and the loot isn't as good.
  20. Yup. That works with many games actually. It can even safe you from having to reinstall a game, when you backup its reg-entries.

    Sync moon cycle/state to server

    Yeh this needs to be corrected. Once i only went back to the lobby and rejoined (to fix a problem with the campfire-action) and when I came back it was much brighter. (slight time-difference probably)
