I have seen a lot of weapon suggestions, but I wonder since we are remaking the inventory UI, how about adding in attachments for the weapons. like Optics, barrels, Tripods, Camo, handles, slings, and other useful items. It seems that everyone wants new weapons, and we have a butt load that are in Arma 2 but not in Day Z. If attachments are possible, this would really add a new dynamic to the game, without changing the core of the engine. Adding sockets to the weapons and using the existing models and textures to fabricate the new models for the attachments would be a easy and very fast transition. The issue would be with the inventory system to allow for interchanging the parts. I have experimented with this a little, but my Modding knowledge of Arma 2 is limited. After doing a little more research, I have found out Arma 3 will have this implemented on launch. This might be a very good port over for Day Z stand alone.

Strip down to nothing and swim down to it. If you die trying to get it out, you have only lost what you have on you. And if it explodes, it will probably respawn somewhere else.

Has there been an official release about this or an idea of when they will revert back to the previous Battleeye?

Just drop them in a spawn you open up. I have had to do that a couple of times.

I have ran into several empty tents, and 2 tents that were in the middle of the pasture south of the North airfield. These were filled to the brim with weapons, ammo, and medical supplies. When I talked to a clan mate, he said that sounded just like their camp, but it was suppose to be up north of the North Airfield. Sounds like tents are spawning randomly around the map with update 1.7.2.5.

OK, This is not an Easy fix. There are several things that could cause this. 1. If you are using Steam, go into the properties of you ArmA2 and ArmA2 OA games and Verify Game Files Integrity. This will usually find a bad file or 2. Then it will correct it. 2. Make sure you have copied over the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\AddOns to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead. 3. Also, every time you update the ArmA 2 Beta Patch, you will have to copy it from here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta, and Over write the original here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead. 4. If you do not have the latest Beta Version, you can get it here http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/. Just make sure it is the most common one used with DayZ. 5. Make sure your DayZ is up to date running the latest version. You can use DayZ Commander for this. It is the best all around Launcher/Updater for DayZ I have found. http://www.dayzcommander.com/ 6. If you are still having issues, Download the latest BattleEye Beta here http://www.battleye.com/download.html. You will need to download both DLL files and put them here. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye 7. Make sure you run ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA at least once a week, I prefer daily. This is just to get any updates through Steam that you might not have gotten. This also resets some of the Default configurations in ArmA 2 as well. Good Luck.

Well, on Server US454, our 3 tents are losing all all items on restart. And no they are not duped or spawned in by cheats. These were found legitly in stores. We lost a lot of items; Medical supplies, Food, Ammo, Weapons, Backpacks, and a whole lot more. All this is happening after we upgraded the server to 1.7.2.5/95819. Anyone else having this issue?

What I do to get rid of them is change my AA setting to disabled and back. That usually corrects them until I die or relog.

Goto BattleEye website and download the newest client and server dll files. and then drop them into your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye folder. I had the same issue and this corrected it.

Hello, Myself and a friend are looking for a clan to join. We have about 2 to 4 hours a day to play mostly at night, and int he CST time zone. This is a Survival game, that is not meant to be easy. If fact it is meant to be very hard and painful. Just getting the damn this set up right and waiting through the load times is agony. Like all games this hard, the learning curve is steep, and the punishment for screwing up is harsh. But, the reward for learning and growing with it is greater than all of this. It took me 20 lives of lone wolfing it before I figured out some stuff. Hell, I am still learning every time I log into the game. It is a very hard game, and you need to watch the tutorials on YouTube about survival before you log in again. I think you will love the game once you get decent at it. One hint it as soon as you spawn in press Z and look around. So your visibility to others is very low. And crouch run and prone whenever you are close to a zombie. Also, the controls are a bit clunky, get used to them first as well. expect to die allot in this game.

I think you were duped. Those sites are very difficult to tell if they are legitimate or not. Best to just get the ArmA 2 CO from Steam, it is the best for this game.

If you are using Steam, you will need to run A2 and A2 OA one time so they register in your registry.

After verifying the game cache on both ArmA 2 and OA, it found 1 bad file in each. Also, Battleeye was not up to date as I thought on ArmA 2. I stopped using Six Updater, and I am not using DayZ Commander. I like it a lot better. I am now getting into most games. But there is the occasional server that wants to grip.

I am getting this on some servers, but not all. I am running the 1.7.2.4/95417 update. I have also updated Battleye. I have run both ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing everything. I am now letting Steam Verify all files.
