Unlike half the other morons who just complain because you're posting an honest thread about a problem in the game, I happen to agree fully with the OP. I haven't had a problem with the skin switch yet, but forcing players to be "good" or "evil" like that and having it reflected in their appearance goes directly against the nature of what made this game so great. Part of the thrill was that when you saw someone else, you had no idea if they were friendly or not (which this change hasn't really helped, it just makes some of the stupid people shut up). It was that kind of intense moment where you finger is a hair away from the trigger (or left mouse click) and you're trying to decide the intent of the other person that made this game so fun. If you don't want to be killed on sight then stay out of sight. This should be the first rule of survival, especially for solo players.

If I think your weapon can kill me before mine can kill you, then it's KoS. If contact is made then I'll generally try to be nice, but that doesn't happen often. I prefer to shoot first and live.

Well he can't fix BattlEye since he has no control over that and the visual issues are indeed being worked on. However, I can safely say that I care nothing about dogs and that I absolutely hate the humanity feature. I wear a ghillie suit and don't care if others know I'm a bandit, but the fact that it forces you into an appearance that changes how others respond just because of what you did in the past (even if it was with a different character) breaks the immersion for me. I'm actually really disappointed in the dev team for developing this and would love to see it either changed dramatically or removed all together. And no, I'm not one of those asshole bandits that wants it removed so I can trick people either. I always assume the other person is KoS so it doesn't directly affect me, I just think the idea of it goes against what made this game so great. The idea that you can do pretty much whatever you want and that death meant a clean slate.

It's happening on 1.7.2.4 as well. My only advice is find a stable server and stay only on that one server. It seems to be a problem with changing servers, especially if you get stuck at a "loading" screen and have to close the program and log in again.

Some complaints are good. Lots of complaints helps tell the dev team that the issue is probably high priority. But those who complain about "OMG I got shot and killed while in the middle of the street in Electro just because I was running around with a road flare stuck up my ass! So unfair!" Those complainers should just be shot again, for good meassure.

Player killing is the most interesting part of the mod? But.... I thought that the most interesting part was eating cans of beans.... I mean, seriously, they must be good. You can hear someone eating beans from almost two blocks away.

Nope. No murder count for you. Actually I use a DMR and I've had quite a few kills with it, never had anyone disconnect after being shot by me. The only person I had disconnect after shooting at him was a moron who tried to sneak up on me with a hatchet only to disconnect as soon as I started blasting him at close range with an AKM. I think the speed of which some of these guys disconnect is truely amazing, come to think of it.

Was set up as a sniper overlooking Stary when a survivor ran literally a few meters away from me, just cutting through the forest. Don't think he ever saw me but a moment later (while still turned around and looking for where he went) my cursor suddenly said "Survivor (Survivor)". Apparently name tags were on in this server and a survivor was only 3m away from me. After a moment of looking up and down I realized it was a hacker with invisibility (and probably something to help him see players, given that he had seen me while the other guy ran right past). So I stood up, aimed right for the guys balls with my DMR (or where I assumed they should be) and played the "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" sound clip over my mic while I repeatedly shot him in the balls. Next time hackers should learn to use godmode when trying to sneak around me. Much less painful.

There are some fun hackers that just like to screw with people or show new players a good time, like most of the ones you met. Though spawning in a bunch of vehicles can easily get out of control but at least they were nice enough to take you with them the whole time. My favorites are still the ones that just deliberately mess with people. The good ones that know how to creep out even the most hardened survivor. Now the CoD script kiddies who just kill everyone on the server or who only hack because they can't survive otherwise... Well, those we could do without.

All zombies should be replaced with magical ponies that shoot rainbows and twinkies out of their ass.

Good luck. I tried to give a bullet to a survivor once but then they just rolled over and took a nap while spraying some sort of red particle effects at me. Ungrateful little dick.

There's multiple ways of doing it. I just use MorphVOX Pro. Not a free software (though it does have a trial period) but it works and can be quite funny if you use it right. I've had about three people I've scared into aborting by following them around certain areas on the map at dusk and playing an occassional creepy sound. It's hilarious. Just don't abuse it.

Last three times I died due to hackers. Two times before that due to bugs. I think the last time I died from an actual cause was when I had just respawned and was running into a fire station at night only to get gunned down in the door. Stupid move, but for a new spawn it really didn't matter.
