Nice to hear people getting along for once instead of just blowing the brains out of each other all day. Didn't you JUST make a post about killing people in Elektro and calling yourself a "God of Death"?

If I haven't been spotted I usually try to stay that way while watching them. Kind of creepy, but I love just watching someone else go about their business while they have no idea that I'm tracking their every move. Though if they look like they know what they're doing or there is a large group I generally just leave as quickly and quietly as possible. I only kill if I get shot at or backed into a corner. Not shooting everything that moves makes the game much more interesting and challenging.

So basically you would prefer if you killed them while they were disarmed and standing right in front of you? Your level of integrity and honor humbles me.

I kill players with a can opener and bottle of lube. Enjoy killing on the coast in the meantime.

I haven't been to Stary in the standalone yet but they removed the military tents? Drats. Still a nice town I'd wager, but I did enjoy those tents. Mostly because it was a great place for a firefight. @OP: If you're getting lost without a compass keep in mind you can still use the sun during the day, the North Star at night, or if it's cloudy just keep in mind that all the clouds always move East. Might help if you can't get your hands on a working compass.

It's an alpha, I'm pretty sure increasing the zombie count is going to be included fairly soon. From what I understand it was originally released with so few zombies because of performance issues, but that should be corrected soon.

I agree! We should be able to carry 11 guns! Two in our hands, two on our back, three stuffed in our backside, and four in an alternate dimension caused by the extreme levels of methane gas that all the bean eating has caused.

Realistically the nights are way too dark for the given environment. With no city lights and few clouds, the moon and even stars generally cast enough light to see even in lightly wooded areas. Sure indoors and heavy woods will be pretty dark, but eyes adjust. As it stands in DayZ though, everything is pitch black even with a full moon. Gameplay-wise, it is fun to be forced to use light sources. Having to balance seeing with being seen is an interesting dynamic to the game and I will admit that it can add a layer of tension that can be quite fun. Problem is you can't really stop people from adjusting their displays to work around this system in order to gain advantage over the people stuck using flashlights. I wouldn't mind seeing them brighten most nights but making cloudy conditions or new moon phases (I don't even know if the game has moon phases) be darker, that way maybe people will be less likely to just completely alter their graphics settings every time while still keeping situations with darkness relatively interesting.

If you don't want to be able to use 3rd person and don't want others to do the same, just use a 1st person only server. It's not like anyone would be twisting your leg to make you go onto a server where others can use 3rd person. Not sure what "flaws" would still exist in that scenario.

Why not just have servers for both? That way people can play the way they prefer.
