I wish water and boats could play a bigger role in the game. I think an addition of river connections or lakes would be an exciting and easy addition. Of course i know we all want a new or additional map. I could see water becoming an all new type of playstyle with pirates, simple merchants, or even people giving rides. Total social experiment and I imagine a lot of jackings but kind of a fun concept. I could see people using bridges as choke points and sneaking around them to rob the unsuspecting victims. Feel free to add cool additions you would like to see to the map!

CPU:Intel Core i5 3570k - 219.99 MOBO:Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H -120 GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 - 199.99 - 10.00 rebate Ram:Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB- 53.99 (You can add more later) Storage:OCZ Vertex 4 128GB SSD-114.99 OR Seagate 1TB 7200rpm- $80 (You can add either of them later, need one to begin with) CASE:Antec One Computer Case-49.99 POWER:Corsair TX650 V2-89.99 - 10.00 rebate (Optional) CPU COOLER:Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus-24.99 (You can get later) Optical Drive- $19.99 Total After Rebates: 815 (Considering you go with the 1TB, and you hold off on the CPU Cooler I'm a big Intel fan and I'm surprised nobody else proposed an Intel build. Intel beats AMD 9/10 times with gaming performance. I also like to have a general rule about spending near the same on a CPU as a GPU. Good luck trying to run a $400 graphics card with a $100 CPU.. It will likely bottleneck and your CPU will keep you from your max potential. The BEST thing about making your own computer is that once you have it, you can upgrade slowly to keep up with changing times. A stand-a-alone graphics card in a desktop compared to a REALLY expensive gaming laptop, still blows it away. The build I offered is a medium-Higher end build, and feel free to change what you want. I went with the new ivy bridge, considering its $5 more. You really don't need any more RAM then 8gb for the most part, and can upgrade easily later. With this build or a build close to it you can easily play BF3, crysis, Minecraft lol, whatever your hearts desire. I picked a z77 motherboard because their designed for the new ivybridge CPU's. Really dont cheap out on a good power supply, the 80+ certified are more efficient meaning lower electricity bills and just overall a safer bet. I'd use amazon and new egg if you can, Amazon has better prices on a lot of thigns and new egg has better prices for things too. If you can bundle shipping i guess do it.

I dont even think people need to get off on the fact that this is "Alpha". This is just a mod. Its a private modification some guy did by himself without the help of the developers. He threw in a ton of different features that hadn't been tested. I'm not sure if you have ever played other mods before for games like Battlefield 1942, or even Counter Strike, but some of those were aweful. I dont blame them for not being able to fix this mod. I'm surprised they still provide support period. They are trying to balance their resources between preserving the mod that is Day Z and creating a brand new stand alone game. I'm not sure which I want more, but a small gaming developer dividing their finite resources into preserving this crap and building a game from the start up is tough. And I'm sure they probably have their hands full half the time working with hackers to try and preserve some form of fairness

Heh, one of the first DayZ videos I saw, two friends had both gotten a hoard of zombies behind them and were running for over +5 minutes.. When one of them shoots the other and he falls to the ground.. They were buddies and laughing about it, but talk about a trickster

Hehe agreed. I think its hilarious when people complain about getting killed at the NW airfield.... its like come on really? You havent read forums enough to realize to just stay away from there? heh. It's getting pretty damn hard to find vehicles. I imagine its the clans just hoarding. Haha I know im just complaining in this forum.. Ironic... but I'm tired of all the damn clan posts on here.. Literally everyone needs the group mentality... Can't people just solo or depend on themselves? I'm all for small groups, but I'll never be a clan person.

I am so damn tired of hearing people complain about bandits. I've heard the arguement "if you dont have anything to do at the end of the game you can become a medic and help people".... What if I dont wanna F** help people. If people wanna play a friendly zombie game go play left 4 dead. I salute the friendly players and medics for adding another depth of the game, but don't tell us what to do. I've heard good arguements against killing unarmed players, which I try to avoid most of the time, especially if there running along the coast. But if you get to electro or Cherno, be ready to hide and use your stealth to avoid a sniper. haha I love the idiots who stand straight up ontop of buildings in cherno (hey I use to be one of them too). Bandits, keep up what your doing... Fight the good fight.. Mess with and taunt your prey, you have to keep them on their toes.

Haha I was just joining a clan I found on forums about a week ago and first time I meet up with them *BAM* I'm dead. I had this best gear I had at the time and had traveled a far distance. After they started making up reasons and being just douches. They have a big claim that their a friendly clan and take people in. From now on I'm running solo......

You can't carry flares or chemlights as their on can you? I remember last time I played at night I had recently died so I was literally empty. I ended up switching to a day server as well. I'd like to use the night time though to do scavenging and such so just asking opinions. I should try the brightness and gamma option, might help a little bit. Do flashlights attract ALOT of zombies? I guess I could run around a city that I'm familiar with and follow map as best as I can. And I guess if bandits come they come, its just another part of Day Z

When my server went from daytime to night I really couldnt make the switch over. I didnt have night vision googles surprise surprise. What are your guys opinions/advice on playing during the dark?
