Insightful post, would read again, 10/10

Run Steam as administrator, that was a problem for me at first.

The problem on snipers seems to be blown way out of proportion in my eyes, or am i just lucky? in the few months which i've played (pretty much everyday) I've only ever been killed by a sniper once, and only shot at three times by one!

Perhaps in another game. but for a realistic zombie survival game? nope.

It's an Online game currently in Alpha pending a standalone release, hackers are going to be a problem right now, but their annoyance is short-lived, they won't be around forever

Adaption, Evolution, whatever you call it, it's needed to survive in Dayz and needed to survive in reality, which is why i love this game

Banditry isn't a problem, people who shoot unarmed survivors with nothing on them is becoming one, i see an unarmed person i'll leave them, maybe even try team-up, see an armed person who i can't avoid/they have something i want/need, i'll open fire.

I'd usually hit up Balota Airfield and then make my way to one of the north deer-stands before heading to the grocery store on the outskirts of Cherno for food+water, then make my way back to Kamenka and start north

Had only my second death since started due to Zombies the other day, the thought popped in my head that it's rare to get killed by them, other players and doorframes seem to be dangerous right now, makes it more fun!

It's adding to the realism, sure this means we'll have to deal with wherever we spawn now but i welcome every change which makes it more real!

Couple of days marked my first kill (turned out to be two on that playthrough, but we'll come to that) First kill a guy wanted team up with me and my friend in the cherno shop, he had a crossbow, friend had nothing, i had an Ak, decided my friend needed the crossbow more than him and shot him point blank in the face, second was more simple, making our way out of cherno, spot a nicely armed guy (and not the kind which require gym sessions) and proceed to end him before spreading the loot, it took awhile of play (2 months) but i'm glad i've made the move into banditry. TL;DR - Just read the f**king paragraph

Whereas i don't think it will come to consoles soon at all, the standalone once the Alpha and Beta is over and the major bugs are dealt with, i have a feeling the standalone will first be only ported to PC, but then eventually a Console version will be released i reckon, to give it to a wider audience, although i shall remain on PC :D

As a fellow lover of baseball caps I hope that's the case, still doesn't answer why it's black or blue though ;)

A question which has probably been answered before, but i've seen players spawn in blue clothing, and black clothing, any real reason for this?

Me and a friend were looting the store in cherno (was my friends first day playing), he suddenly tells me a guy with a crossbow is looking at him, saying friendly, i walk in from the back room to them, (friend had no weapon, i had an ak) tell him to leave if he's friendly, moment his back is turned i load a few bullets into him, then take the crossbow for my friend.
