How high you should aim is based on how far away the target is and what your zeroing is set to. If you know the target is close to 400m away, all you have to do is zero the sights to 400m and you don't have to aim above them at all. Experiment as much as you can.

Yes... there is bullet drop. You just mentioned the zeroing method, and this is an adjustment for bullet drop.

Does this work for say Glock 17 and Beretta mags? The Glock 17 already works with M9 mags. The PDW work with G17 and M9 mags.

F is switch fire mode as mentioned, but you are most likely using a rifle or shotgun which only has one fire mode. This will also switch between grenades, smoke grenades, flares etc. Like Reloaded says, changing ammunition type for a weapon is simply to use the scroll wheel action menu (scroll to cycle, scroll wheel click or left click to select) as with every other action in ARMA 2. The only other type of interaction is in your inventory and is performed by right-clicking on an item.

Were you on the same server when this happened? Did you have the correct version? Did this version of your game AND Dayz match the server version? Did you try other servers?

No, it won't. Apparently there is a chance to spontaneously stop bleeding, but that is probably within like 5 seconds.

I got out of a wall by edging forward by tapping W repeatedly. Try vault, prone, sprint, crouch etc.
-
What do you mean? Your character should still exist with everything you just mentioned.
-
I wonder this too.

If it's in your toolbelt, right click it. Then it should be in your primary slot. Use your scroll wheel to swap to the hatchet, and then make sure it's reloaded.

Good video. I'm watching it now... and you IGNORED A BLOODY TRACTOR?!?! Do you know how rare they are and do you know how awesome it is going through Elektro in a tractor?!

How to cancel the mouse scroll and quick weapon change?

On my beautiful swedish keyboard it's the key to the right of the L key that switches between primary and secondary. -
No. Use your flashlight! If there is any light, you can turn brightness and gamma up. This doesn't work when there is no ambient light whatsoever.

You need to use the "Save Vehicle" option like mentioned above. This is the only way to save the vehicle's location and status.

The biggest let down since I encountered my first wonderbra

Tyler, the game engine is flawed, but offers many interesting things no other game offers at the same time. There are many frustrating things with this game and mod, but I don't think you're right in comparing this so called hardcore experience to somebody who sits in a tank on A2 for 10 hours. The problem for beginners is that you have to be patient from the very beginning. Either you go all out running in hopes that you'll find a weapon while slowing the zombies down, or you go sneaky from the moment you start. It doesn't take hours to find a weapon, and you don't have to die ten times. Crouch. Walk. Keep in mind that different surfaces make different amounts of sound. Finding enterable buildings with loot in can be difficult when you haven't played before as there are many building models that you can't go into. Look for open doors and look for barns. Barns are always good, especially since they're a lot easier to get into. Try playing with a friend, or meeting up with another newbie on one of the full servers. It doesn't sound like this game isn't for you, but simply that you weren't ready for the learning curve. Once you're set, sometimes this mod feels really arcade. It depends entirely on the choices you make. -

Frustrated with difficulty curve and comments about simulation aspect
chrispow replied to liamecrow's topic in New Player Discussion
Barns are usually very good. I read in your previous comment that you hadn't found anything good, but the more barns you look in, the better. -
Have you been to Elektrozavodsk and Chernogorsk yet? If you were far west or east you are not as likely to meet other players. Balota and Balota airfield is also a popular place.

Yes, the things you mentioned are pretty bad except for one thing. The inventory system is one of the best in all of the games I have ever played. It's difficult to get the hang of at first, but once it makes sense it allows for a lot more freedom than most. The only two problems with the inventory system I see is the automatic drop of ammo that doesn't fit whatever you just picked up, and the inability to drop things from the backpack directly on the ground without using a middle-man such as dropping an item first so that it now acts as a loot pile. -
I'm unaware if the M24 has extra zoom, but it is + and - on the numpad. Simply holding right mouse to steady your breathing should also zoom in if possible.
