To clarify as it is easy to misunderstand. Arma II Free is Arma II but with lower resolution textures. I.e. poor blurry quality. It works with dayz, but as far as I know it only allows mods when merged with OA making it a poor texture Combined Operations. There are DLCs for this game. Everyone has the DLC content, but at this low quality we keep coming back to. This means that no mod actually requires you to buy the DLC, but it won't look fantastic!

I am guessing you tried several different servers. In the server filter, type v1.7.1.5 and all the servers you see should be up-to-date. Do you own the games on Steam or as physical copies? If the latter, make sure OA is 1.60 (.94364 with beta patch) and A2 is 1.11. When you tried launching manually, had you made sure that your shortcut launches CO and not just OA? Did you make sure that the shortcut was linked to the Beta patch .exe rather than the original .exe?

To be fair... there is a bloody helicopter there. I would kill for a helicopter.

Texture bug. There has been an explosion that has left a fire somewhere and the game thinks it needs to give you a massive texture in the town.

Civilian cars, yes. They blow up from looking at them the wrong way. Why do you have advertisements on THIS? It's a low view-count dayz video surely made for yours and your clan's pleasure more than anything.

How long have you given it? The first time you join a server after each PC restart may take a few minutes as it has to load everything. Up to 5 minutes depending on how slow your PC is.

I'm no computer wiz, but I'd say high-very high but with sometimes dodgy FPS. Medium if you want it to be absodiddly smooth.

Use the mil-dots in the scope of the AS50 to estimate distance. Make sure the scope is zoomed all the way in (+ on numpad). If the target--standing up--is as tall as one dot (between one dot to another) the target is approximately 1400m away. This means that if it's as tall as two dots the target is approximately 700m away. Four dots 350m away. You can obviously write down a cheatsheet for more accurate distances, but these three work as a good example for the AS50. The M24 and DMR are different.

The funny thing is that this would actually work. Someone would look in your direction and see treeline... cow... treeline. Must be in one of the trees. Although if somebody wanted some meat--you'd be in trouble!

I don't know how long it'll last. A tent takes up 3 slots of your main inventory, that is where you store rifle ammunition, flares, chemlights, food and drink. You can put it in your backpack if you have picked it up into your main inventory first, since it is only picked up by action menu.

Generally they sound bored when they're patrolling and excited when they spot you. You should listen for the excited/aggrovated sounds. Basically the sound a dog makes when you hold a big juicy piece of meat in front it.

Use filter and make sure Show empty and Show full is enabled. Type in UK9 for example and join the server. Have your friend do the same.

ok, are you attempting to join through sixupdater or did you use sixupdater to update and then launch manually through a shortcut? It's possible that: 1. You have started the game incorrectly. 2. Your installation/patches were corrupt. Since your ARMA 2 was a hard copy, did you make sure to update this to the newest version manually? Steam OA will automatically update to the required version. Your ARMA 2 has to be updated to 1.11, which is done through http://www.arma2.com/index.php?Itemid=20&option=com_rokdownloads&view=folder〈=en You will need two updates: "Arma 2 Patch 1.00 to 1.09" and "ARMA2 Patch 1.11". Additionally, when this is all done and working, for comfort it's not a bad idea to copy all of the contents of your arma 2 folder into your steam arma 2 operation arrowhead folder, merging every single file and thus creating combined operations in one folder. This means you can create shortcuts yourself and launch the game with launch perimeters without having to do it through sixupdater every time.
