thanks for the responses. so all is sounding well. i do like to manage my own content. so i usually use git and pull the latest changes from the community dayz source. sometimes there can be multiple updates in one day. do you guys usally update all of the filters on a daily basis??? or from the sounds of it. i need to file a rt ticket each time... in the event there is an update to the scripts.txt or createvehicles.txt can i modify the existing files to match the source?? on defcon i am simply deleting the old files via ftp backing them up and uploading the new updates. for me thats the deal breaker, if i can modify existing files to match the source i think i can live with that. and just file a rt ticket to add new files, like the recent piblicvariable.txt -

Hey Tickle, Yea Defcon sort of has the same deal where you can FTP into your server and add/modify/delete files.. I'm thinking you should be able to simply just upload the new filters.. including "publicvariable.txt" into the directory and restart the server, there shouldn't really be a need to inform SS of the changes.. Or am I missing something? So Overall, It sounds like moving to SS is a good deal. Since they offer everything i'm looking for. I use Dayz ANti Hax on the defcon server, I simpy just replaced the necessary *.txt files, but overall Defcon is horrible. There customer service dept is run by a bunch of 12 year olds. Is there much of a difference between PA and NY, I'm assuming no and that the bandwidth is pretty much the same, I am in Boston. -

Google Community Filters scripts.txt question

Quick Question about the Community Ban list on google.. http://code.google.c...munity-banlist/ After updating my server to use the new filters I noticed that the scripts.log doesn't output like it use to. Now I'm looking at logs like this.. Hey, day 2 using DaRT, so far so good.. When i first launched and connected to my server i swear i was able to see the players direct communication to each other scroll on the screen. Now I launched it again and can't see players talking to each other anymore... I did launch the arma2 rcon and connect after launching dart.. Did i possibly screw something up??? i can't figure out how to re-enable direct comm chatter on the DaRt tool -

We are looking into using this tool on our managed server via Defcon, has anyone had any experience with installing this on managed servers? I saw in an earlier post there shouldn't be any pushback but just wanted to know has successfully installed it via a managed service. Does the executable need to be run once by an admin @ defcon ? or is it something that continuously runs? -
Kybber is this easy to do? Do we have any working examples that I can reference? Group of friends have recently signed up to rent our own server, however since it's on the east coast we don't usually get together until the late evening or night. Therefore the server is always dark.
