What do you think about non-hive servers?

Not all of them, the main problem with a lot of none hive servers atm is that they dont enable battle eye for anti cheats and running a cracked arma2 server that allows players to join with pirated arma aka they hack even more as they dont have anythign to loose. We are playing on DayZ EU NOHOP server that is running proper server/ with battleye on and even some aditional protection that even official server's dont have. All cheaters are perm banned and admins also check logs of duping attempts and ban all players abusing it. ( cheating wise duping is one of the major consirns on official dayz servers .. there is a reason how some always allt he best equipmenet) VEHICLES DIFFERENCE COMPARED TO OFFICIAL SERVER When new vehicle is spanwed its repaired but without fuel so jerry cans are quite in demand. (story wise when there was infection outbreak people left cars when they were out of gas ), when vehicle is destroyed (100% damage ) it will be ALWAYS respawned on defualt location. All old peddalign/foot bikes are automaticly fully repaired and fuled on each server restart(kind of stupid that peddalign bikes have fuel) The vehicles that are parked outside of the map are destroyed and respawned . Server makes sure that on each restart: 1. all vehicles are spawned ( around 60 ) 2. destroyed vehicles are respawned at starting positions 3. bikes are fixed and fueld 4. vehicles parked outside of map destroyed and respawned 5. all vehicles that are not being used for 7 days get destroyed and respawned Other clean up on server restart 1. all tents where owner is dead for more then 3 days are destroyed ( if the owner respawn aka have alive character it does not apply) 2. empty tents are removed after 7 days 3. Barbwire older then 3 days is removed 4. Sandbags and tank traps older then 7 days are removed. Atm server still runns 1.7.1.5 / 94444 and probably it will be updated to 1.7.2 today ( especially if hotfix is released for official version.) Server site: http://www.PeVePe.net/dayz p.s. Having a unique character and no server hopping is really great. -
The idea is to remove fixed spawns inside the houses/objects and MOVE ALL items as Zombie loot. With this change certain modification's should be added like: - medical loot only drops on "doctor" zombies that spawn next to hospital's - military loot from military zombies close to military objects - etc.. adding like civilian and farmer zombies Currently there is really no need to even kill zombies as players can just stay at one spot, recycle loot, avoid zombies completely -> most even exploit by disconnecting and despawning zombies etc... With loot being accessible ONLY on zombies it would really change the dynamics in game. Maybe with few exceptions like melee weapons that you can get in houses but after that ... EVERYTHING is zombie loot including food/drinks.

So any change we will get this update today. It weird how updates stopped when beta patch from Arma2 borked us with Anniversary X edition. We cant play on servers we want cause of incorrect version. At least post some hotfix for

Iam waiting since 25.May 2012 a week after I send my request ( to: [email protected] ) after a week I got following reply: NOTE: Posting it so whoever is requesting my sure you provide those details at request. ( they are not asking for RDP anymore ) I send reply with requested data ( the server specs I have are withing requirements ) and since then I did not receive any emails. I hope soon they will sort out teams who take care of servers. -
101 Servers violating slot requirement

Actually the OP have a point. Devs should enforce certain rules, like why some server are still allowed to have side chat if it was clearly stated that it should be removed .. ( so should server made before that rule be allowed to keep it ??? ) The fact is playing in 25 player server gives you huge advantage over the 40 and 50 player server as the chances you will get killed by another player are 50% lower. Iam not saying go fix it now during alpha but if DayZ some day actually becomes a game it should stick to same rules for all servers. -
I agree. If players log off inside of building he should ALWAYS be spawned outside. If players is logging in and its in vicinity (50m) from another player he should be moved out at least 200m away.

Just quick info about community - We are hosting 512 slots team speak server and groups/clans/guilds can get their own channels and admin rights to manage them as they see fit - You can always pop in the general channel to group up with players there - We are running Rescue Mission sort description bellow: If you are stuck somewhere aka: - broken legs and no morphine - hungry / thirsty blinking while loosing blood & having no food/drink ( sometimes relog helps :P) - bleeding no bandages - very low blood and constant faiting etc... What to do: 01. Switch to channel RESCUE MISSIONS 02. Once inside right click on it and make permanenth sub channel. 03. Channel topic should be named after the closes city next to you and / what you need. ( example: Pogorevka / morphine ) 04. In channel description put when you will be online, assuming you are not in channel and waiting. We asume you are not ingame while waiting for resuce so feel free to mute TS while waiting NOTES: DAYZ MAP: http://dayzdb.com/map For precise loc use the ones with cordinates: http://avidblur.com/arma2/ ( cords bottom right ) NEVER PUT EXACT POSITION ON TEAM SPEAK DESCRIPTION AS IS PUBLIC AND SOMEONE CAN CAMP THE SPOT. - We are also hosting out own Arma 2 server ( not dayZ one - still waiting for instance ID ) and we sometimes run CO OP mission's to practice shooting etc.. They already do that, the only difference is they would not strain server with respawning 10 times in a row to get where they want.

Funny with omg this will be abused ...please let me know how ? Within 5 minutes you will always get where you want with respawn, the only difference is there would be far less impact on server.

There is a slim chance of getting instance ID, so far it looks new servers are only from hosters who can setup you up server within few days. p.s. correct me if Iam wrong. -
