BE never failed at anything. The CD key system did. BE is actually much better than VAC/PB

This is why standalone needs BattlEye. Arma 3 is just as open as Arma 2, yet there are no cheaters. You want to know why? Because of BE and Steam. No cheater wants to pay 25€ (in A3 even more) just to cheat in a game. VAC won't help because it's an useless anti-cheat.

I'm wondering how the game performs GPU-wise compared to Arma 2. I want to buy DayZ, but my GPU is weak, and if it's like A3 I shouldn't buy it. Rocket said that no GPU optimization was done, so I'm wondering will it perform like A2 or worse (GPU-wise)?

Never stop to loot if zombies are chasing you. Don't shoot zombies unless you have a silenced weapon (with a lot of ammo, preferably a sidearm), because it's too messy. Just try to lose the zombies or sneak past them. -

I don't think VAC will ban other same engine games just because you got banned on the only VAC game. I think all same engine games have to use VAC to get the effect! -

Not really. VAC is a bad decision (what is rocket even thinking?!). ESP cheats won't be detected, and many cheaters will use them. It's not something obvious, but it will hurt many people. -

That doesn't make sense. How can a punch from a zombie make you bleed so much? It would be more logical if zombies knocked you down or out more. -
Dead Nation is the DayZ equivalent in A3. But why would you buy A3 just to play DayZ? Are you not sick of DayZ already? A3 has much much more content to play than stupid zombies. Can't you wait for standalone?

Are they? They keep talking about only using VAC, which won't detect any cheats. I still don't understand why they didn't go with BattlEye, or atleast both...

Well, the DayZ forums have been offline in the previous days, so it lost a bit of traffic. I don't really know much about the radars, so I won't comment about that. But still, bypasses, scripts and bigger cheats are all detected and there are no free ones. A few remaining that are private get detected incredibly often.

Oh look, it's this cheating troll again. Sure, everyone is hacking, the russian goverment is spying on us, Dayz devs are aliens... Take your tinfoil hat off.

The hack community for DayZ has fallen apart. There are pretty much no free cheats, and the remaining private cheats get detected very often. I'm guessing that most of the cheaters got bored of buying stolen CD keys.

A3 isn't optimized any better than A2 (for now).

I really hope none plays DayZ in Arma 3. If you want DayZ, play it in Arma 2 or play standalone when it comes out.
