That seems like a game problem more than a BE problem.

Isn't it funny how people first blame BE when they see a cheater, and not VAC? VAC has been in DayZ standalone for a longer time, shouldn't VAC have the upper hand? But nevermind, VAC is perfect, VAC can't be bypassed, VAC will cure world hunger.... /sarcasm

The gamma exploit needs to be fixed before people can start to play at night seriously. And the lighting system from A3 would be cool...

Private hacks are not "undetectable" or "unstoppable" at all. It's just that they are what they are- private or paid hacks. BE constantly detected pretty much all paid cheats in Arma 2, to the point that one of the sites stopped selling their cheat.

There is an auto updater in the game. But in case it's not working for someone, a manual download is needed.

Cheats were actually released the day DayZ was released, but that's nothing special. BE bans your Steam ID from all BE enabled servers in all BE enabled games. In that case you can just make a support request, and your ban will get lifted (if you really are innocent)

They can't steal CD keys like they did in the mod anymore. They can only steal whole Steam accounts now, which is hard.

IP's aren't static and hardware bans are bypassable. A steam ID ban is enough, cheaters can't steal CD keys like they did in A2 (which was the primary reason for such widespread cheating)

I hate to agree with WalkerDown because of his ignorant behavior before, but he's right. Unless there's a specific reason to disable the respawn button, it really should be enabled.

Run faster than players?! NO They are infected humans who are obviously wounded and decomposing, how would they ever be able to run faster than a "healthy" human?! Not to mention how OP and annoying they would be...

PvE servers shouldn't exist in the first place...

I want this too. I enjoyed the bloodsuckers in Namalsk, and I think something similar in DayZ (a rare mutated zombie) would be cool.

The game is unoptimized. Simple as that.

I'm not saying scripting isn't "cheating", I'm just saying it's different when someone uses scripts and when someone uses cheats.

And maybe this is because of the Arma engine, not because of BE? I won't respond to this anymore though, since I really don't know how to cheats you mentioned work, but BE is still far from useless. fun fact: you CAN'T bypass the BE update system

Wiping out public cheats and making certain private sites stop selling their cheats is what I definetly call a "working anticheat measure".
