Usually when you don't know where the enemies are either prone or run as fast as you can depending on the location/position! -
Privates hives suck IMO Public hives are the best and have the original DayZ experience without custom gear, more vehicles and stupid shit like that!

If you use DayZ commander you can filter server and choose "Hide unofficial". That way all private hive servers will not be shown

Are you sure you are playing on servers connected to the main hive? Main/official hive servers are connected and will save your gear, and you can switch between them. However, some servers have a private hive which only saves your gear on that server. Make sure you connect back to the same server or servers using the official hive!

It doesn't matter what your visibility is set to, cause in DayZ it's automatically set to around 1000. You can't change that -
Yeah, an anti-hack that kills you when you press F12 and sometimes disables gear saving. Nice anti-hack....

Monky Monitor is not an anti-hack. It's a hack injected into the server by a hacker! If you want a server-side anti-hack you should try Gotcha Anti-Hack http://www.gotcha-antihack.com/index.php/about-gotcha

Why not just make a normal public hive and monitor it daily?? Servers like that get a lot of players. Most servers went private and now have stupid stuff like 200 vehicles, stupid spawn gear, rules and changes none wants -

It's the admin's fault for not setting filters correctly @Duboisia Did you contact BE or post on the BI forums? Have you tried updating to a new Beta patch? -
Is he banned or kicked? If he is kicked, he can rejoin so there is no real problem If he is banned, he is lying cause he cheated. Hackers can't get you banned

That's true. When I play Chernarus I only play on high populated public hives, and I don't encounter hackers. Just try to find a public hive with an admin who bans cheaters -

You get used to it over time. And if you look at it from a different perspective, you would realize how actually incredible it is that this mod is working so "well". Afterall, this is just a freakin mod for a millitary shooter! In what other game can you transform a realistic shooter into a zombie mod? Sure, alot of things are annoying in DayZ, but it's kinda weird the mod is playable on a level -

Sounds crazy, but can you try to turn off your firewall and then start the game? And have you tried sending a ticket to BE?
