Hey guys, was a bit bored after work today so I decided to use the Arma2 editor to put together some scenes related to DayZ.. (Didn't post in the official screenshots and wallpapers threads because its not 'officially' DayZ screenshots) All of these scenes were put together by triggering animations in the editor, obviously they were a bit more exciting in live action but hopefully you get the idea! I made a few into wallpapers but unfortunately Fraps seems to deminish image quality so I wouldn't exactly call them HD, i'll post em up anyway!(Last 3 Images) :) (Sorry if the images don't show up n you have to click the links.. i'm not sure what im doing wrong here) The Stick Up.. I was getting the error and joining servers with the correct versions, unless the server admins have a way to SAY the server is updated before actually updating it - which I always had my suspicions about!

Definately gonna troll my friends in vent with this MorphVOX shit haha. You can even change ur voice to the opposite sex and its actually pretty convincing haha Can download Scifi packs, fantasy packs.. You name it! Two more noteworthy ones if you got the time! :D

Its called MorphVOX pro.. Pretty fun to mess around with! You can get heaps of other voices too!

I'm not flaming at you or anything but I can imagine that alot of people that are being shot at would convince themselves that its a hacker doing the shooting and proceeding to alt+F4 immediatly out of the confrontation. Thus getting rid of the guilt for combat logging. I'm not accusing you of anything, just more pointing out that there are holes in your case that any reader has to choose weather to trust you on or not. Also when you say, "I take out 2 hackers and 2 other randoms" how are you differentiating between the two? Did they look/act significantly different? Again not having a stab at you i'm just nosey lol

What do they need to report those to the admins for anyways? I certainly don't have anything to 'report' yet im still getting the errors? Or have I read that wrong? lol

My friend and myself are also getting the #40 message. Is this a global ban out of no where or wat?

Yeah also thers probably a fair ammount of people that aren't on these forums and don't know what the 'official' weapons are so they'd probs be wondering why they're being told to stop using the gear they've picked up.

Pretty sure majority of the world has a shoot on sight policy no matter what i'm wearing so it doesn't bother me in the slightest lol Unfortunately I can't just strip down to my undies at this point so the Army gear stays till I can find anything else. On that note I do belive warnings would be good. Although i'm not sure how they would be implimented.

Yeah my friend threw me an Army uniform the other day that he found on a UK server.. It's okay but its not like I blend in to much lol I just look at it as me sticking out MORE as people will be like "WTF IS HE WEARING LETS GET HIM!!"

I read a post earlier that some guy found 3 L85A2 AWS's at a crash site... Who knows if its legit or not! Also I logged in earlier and ghosted a couple of guys searching some tents.. One of them had AS50 TWS but I decided to just take his NVGs coz I'm kinda enjoying the M4 SD that I got off his mate haha My thoughts are that theres been that many hacked in that thers just a whole mess of them in circulation at the moment.. People that hack items in are generally pretty shit so they quickly get punked, thus leaving some hacked weapons to the winnor!! EDIT: I should probably stop saying 'ghosted' to infur 'killing' lol I KILLED a couple of guys, not server hopped em.

Thats unfortunate that your body disappears on log out rather than on a timer.. In my case the guy clearly just didn't wanna get looted so logged off even tho he got bitched... 90% of the players involved with this game are gutless wonders! It's a little concerning how many people are quite alrite with exploiting the game to their own avail.

I've had something similar happen where I was shot, but had 2 mates around the place. They went to kill the guy who killed me but saw him bleed out from the zombie attack brought on by him firing an Enfield. They ran over to check both bodies but only mine was there.. You could hear the flies from his body but no body.

There are a few start up perameters that have been suggested. Some people claim that putting "-winxp" in their start up perameters helped with FPS issues. http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=6713 Heres an optimisation thread from Armaholic. Theres a poop tonne of different things in there you could try out if none of my previous suggestions worked.

I love the PvP personally... I play on medium sized servers and don't intentionally go out to kill people but I do play very cautiously. All I can say is that there is nothing better in this game than the rush you get when you hear that single sniper shot go off in the distance and you know it was meant for you! Gets the old heart going thats for sure haha

Just a few pointers you may or may not have checked.. 1. Whats your draw distance/visibility at in the game?? I'd probably work from 3000 and below. 2. Make sure your '3d resolution' in the graphics options aren't higher than your normal resolution. 3. Shadows can be a pretty decent drain I've found. 4. Turn off all AA, or put it on lowest possible. FXAA etc. included. 5. Turn off Post Processing, or put it on lowest possible. Apparently this can be a decent drain too.. Can probs list a few more things but I thought i'd make sure you've done all these first?

On that note, I remember listening to a 50 minute interview between Rocket and Sidestrafe on youtube and Rocket basically said that a fair whack of the coding is done by him alone... From what I can remember it was the majority of the games' coding!! I agree though, people are a bit eager to fire up! But thats just how the internet is these days. As already stated a mod is a mod. You wouldn't buy Half Life 2 and complain that you wasted your money on buying it because Goldeneye Source is shite for example, (no idea what its like, was just an example lol) . At the end of the day its 30 bucks for ArmA2.. I'd gladly pay more than that for ArmA2 any day! It's an amazing game in itself if you give it a chance, DayZ is just a privilage that we've been given to play... Thats how I like to look at it anyway! Having said that, I still belive this beach spawning thing is a very, VERY bad idea. But Rocket is within his rights to incorperate whatever he wishes.. but thats for another thread I suppose :)

I'm having similar issues, most people are claiming its an attempt at fixing server hopping.. Personally I think/hope its a bug.. If you read up on the thread ill link below, you'll have a bit of a better understanding as to whats happening.. Basically its happening to me when I try join a server, get the infinate loading screen, quit and try join another server that WORKS - the game is supposedly picking this up as server hopping and the aleged punishment is being sent back to the seaside. People have suggested making sure your DayZ, ArmA2CO and BattleEye are all manually updated to the latest patches and ONLY join servers running the latest build, on top of that you'll have to do less logging off. I find alot of the time i'll join a server of the same build, everything on my end updated 100% and still cop the loading screen of death.. I have my suspicions that its the server hosts changing the information for their server but not yet having the updates installed serverside.. Most times i play infact I have to try 3 - 5 servers before I get any success.. I feel pretty sorry for people who've been downloading the game as of late who cop this bug straight off the bat. They're going to think this is actual game mechanics and will more than likely turn away from the game.. I know I would..
