Minor yet annoying shakes. Need help please!
Ramblin Hans replied to Nonapona2's topic in General Discussion
Looking for answers to this myself. Have not been shot, have never eaten human flesh - plus the shaking is constant. It is manageable at shorter ranges but definitely a hindrance, however, making a shot while looking down a scope is impossible.I have used many splints, including 4 back to back thinking maybe multiple limbs broken. Have taken painkillers and vitamins. Sitting by a fire, dried, for over 20 min right now. Considering eating my weapon as a cure ;) *edit* lol moments after posting this, after days of being plagued by it, it has disappeared. DEFINITELY (in my mind at least) caused by cold without a status message. I sat by that fire for half an hour, almost inside of it but wasn't getting burned, and finally it was gone. I am NOT going out in the rain outside the barn lol! -
DayZ Colony (Whitelisting | PvP + RP + PvE | Advanced Role-Play)

Now have 3 friends that play with me here, and I don't know if we'll play anywhere else for a while. A great growing community, plenty of action or interaction, whatever you are into. Need more active players but its a great base and have a blast on here so far. It is so great running into people on multiple occasions, getting to know who people are, learning where they hang, and if they intend to shoot you - so you know how to react the next time. -

I think there may be a syntax error in there. -

DayZ Colony (Whitelisting | PvP + RP + PvE | Advanced Role-Play)

This server and community really have the potential to be something really special. Less scripted and more more organic role play concept that other places I looked at. The white listing process was definitely worth the fairly minimal effort. Its so nice to play on a server that doesn't reset every few minutes, and actually feel the pulse of the day, when I get on its evening and I get to see the moon rise, and decide if I want to risk looting in the dark (so fun). Need more people to get that active player list up every day! -
Can't believe everyone overlooks the Blaze95. Readily available ammo. No magazine required. Super accurate. Always my weapon of choice until I get a Mosin. Can drop people easily at 300M.

DayZ Colony (Whitelisting | PvP + RP + PvE | Advanced Role-Play)

This looks very interesting. I have 2 friends I regularly play with (3-5 times a week), all experienced players (300 hours +) and we have straight up had it with the "shenanigans" in the most recent patches. We have been kind of looking into a private shard to play on, preferably white listed/password protected. But here's the rub. We don't mind getting shot at, in fact expect and enjoy it, but constantly getting teleported on/ shot through walls, etc, is draining the fun out of the game big time. But all the decent pop private servers have extreme RP / no KOS type rules that seem to frankly preclude the excitement and risk that makes DayZ fun for us. I'm not looking to go set up shop killing people, but I want to know say going to the airfield or Elektro is dangerous and won't require a signed document from each party and a moderator before the bullets fly. I'm wondering if this server fits the bill. I have a question before I try and apply: if you join an existing colony, or are you expected to like, meet up and play with other people you don't know from them, or are there subsections? I was thinking of "Traders", but I'm not really keen on the idea of being part of a large trading conglomerate. I wouldn't mind some rivalry / competition within the factions, and maybe having a specialty. Oh, and one friend has real trouble with 1P perspective, the head bob makes him nauseous, this is still 3PP yes? Reading through your forums to see if I can answer my own questions :) -
Player Data on Leg Break Glitch in Buildings.

Have also gotten trapped falling into the bottom of a house in the last 7 days, and previously fallen out of the wall of a house as well as witnessed my friend dying walking out of a tent in tent city in recent weeks. Chernarus is a strange place! -
But yet sadly it is mostly the truth. I've put a decent amount of hours in on this patch, and can honestly say the only thing that warms me up is a down jacket in at least worn condition. Even pristine wool coats = cooling off, though the pristine gorka I have now seems to keep me above freezing but in the "cold" zone and constantly "cooling off". Now, I don't bounce around a lot of servers, and tend to play on only three or four - so it is possible that this isn't the case on all servers given some of the responses here. Yea, the sarcasm was mostly in the wet=die part. If you can get a fire started outside, you can get warmed up. But I have frozen twice because no fire could be started outside (literally impossible in the rain), doesn't work inside, and under rain shelters like outdoor overhead garages apparently counts as "indoors". Super frustrating to be wearing warm clothes, sitting mainly inside a building wringing out clothes and/or switching to dry ones, and slowly dying for a half hour plus scrambling around trying to make a fire. I think the new system is awesome and love it, it just needs some tweaks. For starters, you should be able to get a fire started in the rain (maybe need a wind shield, more wood, under an overhang, 10x the amount of matches, or whatever). I also wish personally they'd rework the clothes system a bit so you can layer - treat jackets like they do vests now. You can wear a shirt (tac, long sleeve, checked, tshirt, etc) and then a jacket layer (rider jacket, down jacket, military, vest, etc). This would allow for more layering options if you want to go for survival vs. the straight forward "most pockets" / "military > all" method. A nice flannel shirt + rain jacket SHOULD be a decently warm, good rain protection option!

Exhaustive clothing reference guide, please study carefully: decent condition Down Jacket = slowly warming up every other type of clothing = cooling off. If you get wet, you die.

Having played both, I feel that is a myth. I always heard it though, and kept going to HC servers to try and RP a bit, but no dice. People will kill you there same as anywhere else.

Persistence Enabled vs Persistence Disabled [OPTING IN/OUT]

Great info, was wondering about this and your post confirmed what we were suspecting. -
And if you are a sniper up there, beware of people ghosting up to get you. They always log if you miss and magically appear up in the hallway one floor below the roof. I mean, so I've heard. From a friend.

Yea,nothing in your story made me 100% sure there was a hacker. I can guess the woods you ran through coming out of that brig, and though it is wooded it offers some surprisingly long site lines and I have killed more than a few people out there. Hitting someone running is difficult, but not impossible, and you did describe him taking many shots. I'm not one for camping those brigs, but once you decided to, and especially once you announced yourselves with a flare, I'd say your biggest mistake was leaving your position without being sure of your enemies number or position. You basically just fled. In that scenario you should have at least found some cover to try and look back and spot the enemies position and number, maybe layed cover fire down. From the way you described it you left someone (or a group) firing at your backs unimpeded. The first death though suspicious can happen as you said, unsure there. And gunshots don't always sound for anyone/everyone in the group, that's pretty much a known issue.

AxeCanteenRope/Burlap sack for a packDon't really pick up compass, at this point I know the map and rarely have to even look at the online map. I assume you mean besides food and water of course. Interestingly after that, with the latest patch I begin to seek not only a rifle and ammo but some things I'd never though I would - a rain jacket and a down jacket.
