See, that attitude doesn't help. Every little bit helps, and if everyone realized that just doing any small thing, anything at all adds up. If enough players got behind this, it would really help. I'm not saying we could FIX it, but you know, we could at least make a dent.

Well, at least we can try to balance it out, I mean, if we just do NOTHING it will pile up and get worse. Seriously, why do you think so many people just snipe new spawns from a mile away? It's because this shit is so easy to find you can waste it getting a cheap thrill.

So, let me set a little scene for you first. It's dark, and you're walking along with your Remington, after all, you need to see and its the best you've got. You're in the middle of nowhere, and you don't expect anyone. Suddenly you hear footsteps on the road coming towards you, and fast. You spin around and point your light at man with a gun before trying to run past before taking him down. You wonder "Why was he running right past me?". Thats when you hear it. You quickly turn the direction he was coming from and violently evacuate your bowels in fear. A horde. Hundreds of them. Coming right for you. You start to run, and run, and run, and run. Eventually, you're thirsty. Should you stop to drink, or keep running? You try to drink real quick, but they catch up and you're bleeding. You can't bandage now, so you hope to get away. You've lost plenty of blood and then you pass out and then......THEY GETCHA Seriously though, imagine that. A small chance for a large roaming horde of Zed Heads in a group of anywhere from 100-300 zombies, that don't despawn, and just travel in a pack. Someone might make a clan dedicated to eliminating these hordes after getting calls from players, sort of like the medic whitelist. A group of maybe 20 players joins the server, they set up a defensive position with sandbags, heavy weapons, satchel charges, bear traps, snipers, anything. They send out a group of scouts to find them, and lure them back to the holdout position. They sit there, prepping gear, and suddenly they see the scouts coming over the horizon, followed by a writhing ocean of the undead. Once the center of the mob is over the charges, they blow em. Then they get fed through the traps, and then they enter the infantry kill zone. They open up with SAW's in bursts about as long as it takes to say "Die Motherfucker Die" (World War Z anyone?) and the snipers open up. Nonstop rapid gun fire, as the undead are ripped apart, falling to the ground en masse. Finally, with only a few remaining, they are quickly picked off, and the clan moves on to the next server in need of an undead ass kicking.

You see, reading the threads about stuff like that is for idiots, I would just rather POST AWAY. I'm writing a thread about how bad the hacker problem is and how much battleye totally sucks CAWK as we speak!

So, we found a PBX, and we were travelling the coast, when we noticed on the map if you zoom way out, theres an island. It was about 16,000 meters out, so we gassed up and decided to venture out to it. We were honestly expecting a camp out there. I put on the Jurassic Park theme, which I thought made it funny because you hear this really great dramatic song, and in the background you hear my friends complete disappointment.

About 5 I think. Also, turns out theres a few more waaay out there. One is about like, 30k meters.

So, I have a clan and we have a Huey, and an m136, but there is an issue. We can't use the rocket launcher because its broken for some reason, and since its so rare Rocket isn't even bothering trying to fix it, hell I doubt he even remembered its in the game. Our is out of ammo, and it only refills on server restarts, because for some reason you can't fucking reload. We have about 4 rockets, and like 15 boxes of m240 ammo stock piled, but we can't use any of it because this stuff is fucking BROKEN. Is there any details on a possible fix for either of these?

Just because its rare doesn't mean it should be ignored. Honestly, I have no idea why the rocket launcher doesn't work, but you could easily just swap it for a different one, like the smaw or hell, an RPG would be fine.

Have you ever actually touched a The Huey used in Day Z, in ARMA 2 at all? First of all, the M240 is a LIGHT Machinegun, and its the gun that the door gunners in the huey fire.

Now, I'm sharing this because I don't really use this site anymore, but the best campsite I personally have ever had, was near Polona. Right next to Dubina there is this patch of trees right in the open around here http://dayzdb.com/map#6.108.068 (Not the one in down the hill along the road, but in that sort of U Shaped clearing) My friends and I had a few tents there for weeks, and we eventually stopped going on the server, and it was still there when we came back.

No, I mean when you equip it, the model doesn't change, you just see the weapon you had equipped last, and when you shoot it, it makes a puff of smoke and the noise, but nothing actually fires, and it uses the ammo up. You can't reload the guns on the chopper.

I thought this was about a hacker taking over your character and making him jump around like a little girl.

Hey guys, another fantastic adventure in Day Z. Me and my friends had decided to set up an ambush, and when we went onto a server I noticed a Ural Civilian in the road. We all figured it was a trap, but after scanning for snipers, and waiting we made a run for it. We started driving and getting shot at. After a little bit he started chasing us in a V3S. For those of you wondering,I DO NOT DISCONNECT TO AVOID COMBAT, I ONLY DID IT BECAUSE THEY WERE HACKERS.

Yup, at the airfield we met a nice guy and he helped us, then satchel charges started exploding all around us and my friend died trying to drag my unconscious body out.

Yea, I didn't feel like losing my shit, and it got hairy at times.

So, I've played Day Z for awhile, and seem some crazy shit, but some of the stuff I've seen has really moved me, or just seemed like it was right out of a movie. I have decided to bless you with some of my stories. Story 1: Me and a friend were walking into a town and we heard shots. Lots of em, and thats when we hit the deck, and saw zombies running. Turns out some guy had fired shots for whatever reason, and we walked by and he saw us and asked for help. So what did we do? We left him. We figured if he was pulling all the zombies between here and fucking Zargon 7, planet of the mole people, that we could loot in peace. We told him, good luck, try to stay alive for a few more minutes until we finish looting and we might help him. He died, and I felt really awful. I don't know, he seemed friendly, and all he wanted was help, but I just left him. Story 2: After meeting an awful death by hacker, I decided to do something I call The Cherno Challenge for that particular life, where I go to Cherno, and never leave until I die. I got lucky and found a Coyote backpack in the firestation and a Ghillie suit, I chuckled about how I have all that, and I'm still using a damn hatchet. So, I forgot to take off my pack when I put the suit on, and I thought "Fuck, there goes one of the good things I had going for me" and tried to see if changing to my civ. clothes would bring it back, nope. Instead it glitched out and gave me another civ. clothing instead of my ghillie suit. Great, both things I had going for me are gone.so I spam it in anger, end up in debug. JUST. FUCKING. GREAT. Log out, and log back in. Kamenka. I thought to myself "This could not be any fucking worse" when I hear a WURRRRRRRRRRR. I spot the bus but it drives off before I get near. I try to chase it, as one of my friends laughs at me trying to track a bus down. I figured if he's on the coast he probably just got it, or is picking up a friend and he probably needs gas. The only major stop that road goes to is Zelenogorsk and I book it. I steal the bus, honking as the guy quickly runs out and tries to shoot me. So, I meet my friend in Stary and we spot 2 crashed choppers in the same field, just outside of Stary, maybe 100 meters apart. Later we lose the bus due to a server crash. We're heading up to the NWA, and I see a hero in some trees and thing "Wait, wasn't my friend to the right?" I glance to the right , see my friend, glance to the left, that guy is still there. I figure, since he is a hero, and hasn't opened fire yet, he is probably friendly. We carefully approach the man, moving in a way that he knows we saw him, but letting him know that we have no intentions to fire. We get there, and have a chat with the man, he asks for some morphine and blood and we help him out and ask what happened. He tells us how he and a guy he met on the coast had been looting a town, and then a Helicopter came by, and opened up on them before pulling out. Turns out it hadn't left, it was inserting a ground unit to move in on foot while the heli provided air cover and overwatch. After his friend was killed and he narrowly escaped with broken legs and what not, he thought we were going to kill him. We looted the NWA when we heard something in the distance. It sounded almost like....like....a helicopter. It spots us, and we realize we are NOT going to make it if we try to run. This guy decides to repay us, and get some payback and he covers us as we run away to our car about 2k meters out. He covers us while we run and we tell him we'll come back. So we grab the car, and we head back AFAP. We arrive and as he runs for the car BAPBAPBAPBAPBAP. Dust shoots up around him, and blood spurts out as his face twists up, he collapses and dies. We drive off and get shot the fuck up and die. I have many more, but I didn't expect that story to take long, so I might post more later. Hope you enjoyed.

So, whats the biggest group you've been in? I was thinking how much fun it would be to just roll into cherno with a group of 25-30 people and absolutely dominate everything. You wouldn't even need decent guns. Imagine coming around a corner and seeing a mob of people strolling casually with Lee enfields, Makaroni's, Double Barrels, and Hatchets. It doesn't matter how well armed they are, you're going to A: Run B: Shit your pants C: Shit your pants and run D: Run while shitting your pants E: Try to fight and get lit the fuck up

I'm sure it would, which is sorta why I wanted to know how it turned out for those who have done it.

I was once about 30-40 meters away from a guy, and I shot at him and he INSTANTLY alt F4'd. He didn't see me, and the bullet landed right in the wall behind him. I didn't even know it was possible to react that fast, but he did. What a pussy. If you're going to Alt F4 THAT fast, you have no business playing Day Z, let alone going to the NWA.

Yea, I'm not talking holding anywhere down, I mean just moving as a single mass, slaughtering anything and everything in its path.

I honestly don't know if his intention was to die, considering the fact that he was booking it, but I think he was willing to die, if it meant repaying the favor. Atleast he died thinking he saved us. One of the reasons I don't use skype for most people I meet is so death has a bigger impact. I know I'm never going to see that guy again most likely. He's gone. I won't hear him, or see him. I actually cried once when a guy I met and played with for a few weeks died.
