You can't. Defibrillators only "reset" the electrical impulses going to the heart, correcting irregular heart beat. You can't revive someone whose heart has stopped using a defibrillator, but you might be able to by using chest compressions, i.e. "heart massage".

Won't work. There are plenty of ways to change gamma and brightness outside the game. The only solution is to eliminate night altogether, as it's pointless right now.
-
Maybe when the game is nearing completion, so around spring 2015.

Most parasitic worms only live in the tropics, though. So you can wade through the ponds of Chernarus without worrying about roundworm. Maybe tapeworms could be found, but they spread their eggs through feces, and I don't see anyone eating that...

Would love to see some more exotic melee weapons, but if we're getting katanas, why not a Nordic type sword as well? Or even a Roman one. Both might concievably be found in private collections, as functioning and high quality replicas, and both would probably be much more useful against zombies than a katana. Nitpick: A katana isn't folded "thousands of times", it's folded a few times, creating thousands of layers, at least in theory. Does that make it a better sword than your average European arming sword? Nope, but it does make it prettier :).

...the ability to put a banana, fresh or rotten, in a chest holster!

The #1 thing this game needs to add RIGHT NOW is...
rickenbacker replied to rickenbacker's topic in Suggestions
Well, we're talking about a game that has clown masks, red kids' packpacks and pink shoes, after all. Why not? -
The current solution doesn't seem to take cutting into account. The big, heavy weapons are all good (the fire extinguisher is surprisingly good against zombies!), and the small, light weapons are all shit, even the machete, which should chop a zombie to bits with a few swings.

Radio transmissions | Add depth trough background story hints...
rickenbacker replied to [email protected]'s topic in Suggestions
Rocket has already said that he plans to let players broadcast their own radio channels in-game. So we could have talk radio or some easy listening music while we loot :). -
Are you seriously suggesting that the Mosin should be weaker than the M4 because it's a "civilian" weapon? On topic: My can opener saved my life in a fight yesterday! I was hit, but took almost no damage, and killed the guy. Afterwards I found that my can opener was completely ruined...

What to expect from the Ruger 10/22
rickenbacker replied to JalapaJuiceJerry's topic in General Discussion
Actually, a 500 round box of .22LR is quite a hefty chunk. I have a few in the closet, and you wouldn't be able to carry one around in your pocket :). -
I'd go as far as to say that all reloading sounds, and most other gun related sounds, are placeholder right now.
-
I like the idea, but it's a huge asset problem. You'd need one separate hoodie for every possible combination of hoodie color and undershirt color, which would be hundreds already, and many more in the future. I don't think the team has the time to do that.
-
And, as in the image posted above, tool belts! Carpenters and other workmen use these all over the world. Hell, I've even seen competitive pistol shooter use them to carry their guns around at competitions!
-
If you breathe them, yes. But if we're talking realistic effects, radiation would cause the zombies to literally fall apart in a week or so, as their cells broke down.
-
Yes, and I like your idea of having every sound linked to an actual source. The current ambient sounds aren't really ambient, they're sometimes sounds that would be caused by another player, but without an actual other player to cause them they're misleading, annoying and stupid. The only ambient sounds should be wind, bird noises and perhaps creaking trees - that's it! Every other sound should have a clear cause.
-
You can put pistols and sawed off shotguns in packs, I think that's enough. Although for realism's sake I wish there would be a 1% chance of shooting yourself every time you take a step if you leave a loaded weapon in your pack...

This Game is Being Advertised as an MMO Right? Char Bound to Server.
rickenbacker replied to gjhook's topic in Suggestions
This Game is Being Advertised as an MMO Right? Not right. -
The speedloaders currently work like a magazine, i.e. they stay in the gun until they're empty. So you need two per gun to keep one filled in inventory. I'd say you need 2-3 mags/clips per gun. Less than 2 and you can't reload quickly. More than 3 and you're wasting space on ammo that you won't be using anyway.

Is it better to travel with your gun in your hands or on your back?
rickenbacker replied to omgwtfbbq (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
You run much faster with the gun on your back, so I keep it there for travel. When in high-traffic areas I generally have it out and lowered, though I raise it when going through doors or around corners if I have any indication that other people are near. -
Not sure why the OP thinks that, because one girl killed him, all girls are evil. Still, that's the way of the internet, I guess.
-
Eww! Now I'm imagining unholy mixtures of lukewarm, flat sodas!
-
Why would you want to loot the remains of a broken nuclear power plant? What could you possibly find that'd be useful?
-
What, exactly, in the background is making the sound of a chainlink fence being shaken, when I'm half a mile from the nearest civilization?
-
Feelings? Damn, that would take some wicked face recognition software :).
