If you're travelling during the daytime, take note of the position of the sun and where you start out. When you're navigating through the woods, double-tap alt to keep your bearing then just strafe around trees. Navigating at night, you can take note of the position of the north star if you don't have a compass.

It's an alpha, a lot of people have lost hard earned things in the past few days. The devs have said there aren't any rollbacks at the moment, which is understandable given the increasing size of the playerbase. I lost an L582, Bizon, M24 and a full kit minus rangefinder yesterday. These things happen, it's a free mod and you're an alpha tester.

I think the simple solution is to check what you have equipped, personally. I've never had an issue with this. I might be wrong, but I think the clunky throw animation and the frustration of it's uninterruptability has been brought up in a few other threads, and addressed by rocket.

Lost everything on a weeks old character to spawning in the debug plains, then the debug forest, then just spawning dead in a pile of dead people in the debug forest. Still, good to hear it's up and running again. -
Hi, I just spawned in what I guess is the debug plains, saw players popping in and disappearing. After that I connected to Canada 2, and spawned in a forest. I looked at my feet, and saw a pile of corpses, then heard a bone cracking sound and was instantly at ~ -9000 blood from full health. I don't know what I did to cause this, but I was wondering if there was any procedure to get a rollback? My character's been alive for quite a while and I'd rather not have to try to find NVG and GPS again. Thanks.

It seems like the check to dispose of corpses happens globally on the server every 15 minutes, instead of 15 minutes after the person is killed. I killed one person on the NEAF, and watched his corpse for 10 minutes before someone tried to loot the body. Dispatched him before he got to the corpse, saw someone log in at the control tower and die on the ground, obviously trying to escape death on another server. I waited another two minutes and then all three bodies disappeared simultaneously. I've seen it happen many times since the patch, and on other people's streams too. -
Barbed Wire Getting Annoying

The only problems with barbed wire are that it spawns far, far too often and that not enough buildings are enterable. I've been to a factory once and had every single spawn in the factory - and you know how many spawns there are in the factory - have razor wire in it. That being said I've never had a problem with it, toolboxes aren't too hard to find if you spend some time in industrial areas instead of just looking for military spawns and ghille suits. -
The easiest fix for this problem is just to make character location server dependent.
