I disagree somewhat, it would remove too many tents. For example if a group has a few tents and items in all of them, the player who set up the tents dies and boom, all gone... really? Nah. Also what about other players being able to loot the tents after killing the owners? Imagine stalking someone to his tents, killing him and observing the tents vanish into thin air... "Remove at the next server restart" goes into the right direction imo but not far enough - we all have had situations where the restart comes just at the wrong time. Maybe an 1h period after death whithin which you cannot access your old tents? And a 3-day timer until the tents disappear after gradually breaking down (should be in description of tent, eg "sliced and torn tent" shortly before it goes) -

Hello! Some things that bug me about the current way to make fires: -I need matches to build a fireplace, but I do not need matches to LIGHT said fireplace - making a fireplace should be done with wood, lighting with something like matches -matches have infinite use, should not be that way -matches are the only way to make a fire, but there are other ways! rubbing sticks, using hatchet/hunting knife with certain stones(flint) or firesteels(would be a new item) greetings

People can't run all day, especially with all that gear on you. Promote walking over running. Example ways to do that: running massively drains stamina which then massively affects your aim/your ability to fight in melee combat if you are low on stamina you may trip and fall. to your knees at first, no damage, just slows you down. if you keep trying to run and your stamina gets low enough you will fall on your face, which very rarely(!) could result in a broken something or just damage certain things, basically everything small, like tripwires should be less visible while running zombies automatically aggro against running targets but if you are slow they have to be a lot closer to identify you as human You should still be able to run from cover to cover in a city with small breaks in between without hassle. Yes, walking around all the time is boring, so make the world more interesting edible stuff in the woods to be found (which is less visible while running as well) useful stuff to be found (sticks to build things, tinder, rocks to be used in slingshots etc) zombies everywhere animals everywhere. non edible animals, too (small birds) but they should fly up/run away when near humans/zombies and many more which I can't think of! This would ramp up immersion greatly imho. -

hopefully all the military grade sniper rifles will be MUCH MUCH MUCH more rare, as will be all the ammoif you're really that bored that you use one out of your two rounds to kill someone, well you suck anyways -
In some cities or at some special places (castle?) there should be some kind of message board which survivors could use to pin pictures (have you seen my son etc) and messages. Together with the writable notes this should making quests much easier. Maybe you should not be able to read all the notes (so it doesn't get too cluttered), so there could be two kinds of notes 1) quest specific - unless its a quest start it is only visible when you accepted that quest. a quest start note should be visible as such and the quest creator should be able to have control over if the quest start note stays after being read and accepted (eg "once per day" or "once" or "three times") 2) general notes You should be able to keep notes on your body, too, or in special homemade message boxes which you can place in hiding spots

ah, panic is a good thing to add in there, yes! tripping because you're exhausted happens rarely, that is true. but add 40kg (88 lbs) on your back and suddenly it happens more often :) why, yes -

again, different versions of stuff binoculars: varying in degree of magnification varying in size of ocular varying in quality of lenses varying in prism architecture and with that always less/more weight, better/worse picture, better/worse capabilities in dim light/night knives: varying in size (reach, weight) varying in style (eg a kukri could chop limbs pretty well but can't skin an animal and sucks at gutting it, a skinning knife would do perfect with gutting and skinning but would be incapable of doing sufficient damage to zombies and impossible to chop wood with it) flashlights: battery type brightness size (can it be held in the non-weapon hand with pistols or a club) weight battery life beam profile style (headlamp, handheld) backpacks (already implemented somewhat) compasses illumination declination adjusted/adjustable weight size style (lensatic, prismatic, mirror - also make mirror capable of signaling!) and many more! -

of each item there should be more than one variety eg binoculars, some could be 8x some could be 10x ...some could let in more light than others etc eg headlamps one could be a bright one, another very dim, but longer lasting on the batteries -

just joined there, seems very awesome so far! very good, basic ruleset... need more players though :) -
you can light all stuff that can be lit, barrels, the tire-things in balota, fire places... without matches you only need the matches to MAKE the fireplace, kinda stupid
