  1. Once the stand alone come out, will the mod version still be in use or will we all need to move to using the stand alone version? Will the stand alone version be free to those who own arma II + OA ( I bought OA to play dayzmod specifically and I'm sure many people have bought both to play dayz ) If both will be used will the mod version be kept up to date? It might be that the stand alone version will basically be the mod version wrapped into one game I don't know :)
  2. Without sounding contrary, I have only spent about 8 hours playing, purely because like other games I want to wait till its more polished so I can enjoy it more. I made the mistake with playing minecraft from its early inception so I tend to not look forward to the updates as much now. These feelings are shared amongst others from comments I have read. I hope this makes sense I would just like to point out as well that I didnt enjoy arma that much when I played it ( Sorry its just not for me it seems ) I did enjoy my 8 hours ( which is plenty of time to enjoy ) of DayZ
  3. I think I would be comfortable paying for it if there was a lot of new content. What's this article all about then? http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/06/06/rumour-dayz-creator-instructed-to-work-on-mod-full-time-by-bohemia/ Have I got the wrong end of the stick and is this just hearsay?
  4. Would it be too difficult to support both the mod and the stand alone? would there be a huge difference in the way it works? Have other games been made this way ( there is a stand alone gary's mod now isn't there? ) does anybody have an informed opinion?
  5. looks good to me and from only two days ago. Cheers Brudagon
  6. So what is the answer, for the benefit of others who are interested. Brudagon says the mod will continue to be fully supported Others say "derm rert id buy the ferking game again, if you dont like it then you can GERT ERT"
  7. I'm pretty sure they are subsidised by the makers of arma II ( and er, quite right too ). They aren't accepting donations. Thanks Brudagon for the answer, instead of the obligatory elitest comments
  8. woah woah woah, wind your neck back in. Im sure some people care, like those who also bought combined operations to play dayz mod of which there are plenty hence it being one of steam's top selling games at the moment I already had arma II, I bought OA to play dayz you guys are obvious arma fans true to the bone, and we all bow down to you. But some others think actually, its a pretty rough game and dayz mod has probably spurred the large majority of its sales this year
