I'd like to see a 24hour death ban for servers on the "Elite" difficulty setting. And server swapping between different difficulty levels disabled.

Gun damage should represent their real life counterparts. Nerfing guns is the wrong way to go about it. If a gun is too effective it should be SPAWNED LESS, ie made rarer, not damage nerfed.

I do agree it's sometimes difficult to tell where shots are coming from. I don't think the solution is simply to add a GUI that tells you the answer. Thinking on that though, we do already have a radar that shows zombie locations off screen. The obvious answer would seem to be to improve the sound engine. Not a quick fix though. I don't think it would take away from the fear of getting shot at. You're still dead meat if you don't react correctly. But it would take away from the immersion of the game engine. Far better to get things right in terms of audio simulation rather than visual supplement for an audio problem.

I can imagine some kind of alpha zombie - perhaps wearing armour and wielding a melee weapon. These would strengthen any given mob, but as for a behemoth type boss Zed that took 4 dudes with assault weapons to take down - it doesn't fit the DayZ ethos.

I'd say no to seeing who I was killed by, but I would like to know what weapon it was that killed me. Walking through the airfield, all of a sudden I'm dead. No shots heard, not even the sound of bullets hitting my flesh. This has happened many times. Even being shot with a silenced weapon makes some noise so it would be nice to know if I was legitimately taken out or just haxxed.

Hehe, but why would a bandit want to have his flag down? You have just made white flaggers invincible! Great write up buddy I enjoyed reading about your beloved bus. How many other games have moved you to write so much? Death to me is the ultimate lesson. If you're observant you will see the error you made and adjust your approach accordingly. Even if it is a prickly pear to swallow at the time.
