IT seems there is no fix currently for retail owners, really annoying......

I see there is a fix for the steam ppl who have the battle eye version error, anyone got a fix for us unfortunate enough to not have purchased it via steam?

Does not work, removed battle eye, deleted all associating folders and it just reinstalles 1.654 and will not update to 1.655 or whatever the newest patch is. Any other suggestions?
