Hey I have heard that DayZ mod will become a standalone game this year sometime? If this is true, will I have to purchase the DayZ game? or is it like people that played Arma2 are liable to buy it for free. Please tell me because I have bought Arma2: Combined Operations for $30 on steam only for the DayZ mod.

Ok heres what happened, I was gathering some supplies in the Vybor supermarket when I came under fire from a sniper...so I panicked and ran to the gas station and I went behind the counter and went prone...to my surpirze, I had a borken bone, 1.5k blood left due to that stupid glitch. So please, if there is anybody near the area or willing to walk a fair distance to the Vybor gas station I will be greatly thankful to you. Breakdown:- Location- Vybor gas station Need- A blood transfution or a couple meats. Epipen and morphine. Edit: I HAD NO WEAPONS TO FIGHT BACK.

?? I had no weapons at all... wtf am i meant to do? try to find the sniper who could have been 400 meters away, sneak up to his back up, open it, take his sniper while hes not looking and use it against him???

Well I finally got the game up and running after about 20 hours worth of research to find cures for other problems and in fact I actually found an en field =D But now theres another problem..WOOPTIDOO! When I try to join a server thats in New Zealand or Australia I always get stuck at the loading screen...and sometimes with servers in the US and DE etc...so am I the only one with this issue? if not please help me find a cure!

Ok well I updated my BE client thingo and it seemed to have worked...but who knows, maybe when I try to join another server it wont work again. But at the moment having a blast playing this game continuously for once.

I will love you for the rest of my life...no more having to restart my computer haha

Ok I tried to update it and now it says 'Missing String'...

Ok thanks I will try that now, and by the way, is there a way to close the game without going to the main menue? because when I get stuck at the loading screen I cant close the screen...I have tried Alt+F4 but that still does not close the screen.

Ok, well basically I made a thread about this before and the solutions which people gave me did not work at all. So basically here is whats happening. When I try to join a server, a message pops up in the middle of the screen saying something along these lines "You are running 1.7.0 and the server is running 1.7.2.3 and the dayz_code file is incorrect and download the correct file from dayz.com/downloads". To get everything clear, I have tried deleting the @DayZ folder and the contents inside it, I have tried to download the files using almost all the portal (US etc), I have tried downloading the files from the torrent option, I have updated my Arma2 Beta patch. I have basically done every logical thing I could have done. Also, before people think I am the only person in this world that has this problem and arent bothered to help me, you are wrong. There are 100s of people with this exact same issue and I have spent more than 12 hours finding a cure for this. P.S. When the message pops up in game, I can move my character and everything, but I cannot swing my hatchet and it constantly fades in to black and out to normal. Atleast bump this if you have no fix, THANK YOU.

Disregard this post, I did a simple 'Run as admin' on steam and the bad seriel number thing is gone.But I cant still play the DayZ mod...

Ok, I tried to run Arma2 without steam and a message comes up saying "bad seriel number given on setup"??

I use steam to launch it. thats the problem you see, when I update with 6 launcher everything is fine, but when I join a server, the same message pops up, "1.7.0" It is really frustrating because I bought Arma2 specifically for DayZ mod...and its been more than 12 hours and I am still figuring out how to make it work.

Bandit or not, that was just plain stupid. These guys obviously trusted you enough to allow you to follow them in a looting excavation and you end up killing them?

Ok, well I have downloaded the torrent and put everything into the right folders...but to no prevail, the same issue keeps occuring. "You are running 1.7.0 and the server is running 1.7.2.3"I can still move in-game but cannot shoot/hatchet anything. So, any ideas?

Hmm interesting...because I was watching a video on youtube and a guy and his friend set up a little base in a watch tower in one of the air fields (dont know which one since I cant even get on the damn game) and in this tower they had a huge aresennal of weapons which they had dropped on the the little benches or whatever. So cant people just raid that tower?

This is way off-topic, but since I am a very new player, where do you store all these weapons?

Well now that I have read that hes a doing this non-profit...I wouldnt mind paying $20+ for this game. Even though i have not even played for 5 minutes yet...the youtube videos make up my sleepless nights =P Still trying hard to get the game working properly.

This whole story is cold and demonic and satanic and bondage in so many levels. Cold. Love it.

Dammit you noticed that XDYea that's fair now that you said it like that =P Any idea how much it will cost? Because I live in Australia and almost no games have many dedicated servers for Australians so I am hoping Rocket realizes that there are Australians suffering in this world =P
