It was a "admin kick". Will take a screenshot, but honestly I've moved on. This was just one server that kept appearing near the top in my browser. I'm also not trying to really say admin abuse, or get anyone in trouble. Was just annoyed because I had to go back for the gear. I guess this guy paid for the server so he can do what he wants.

Keep getting kicked after random amounts of time (5-15 minutes or so) It was annoying because both times I was swapping out inventory and had to join back to get my stuff. Why not just lock the server if you want to play by yourself? Only player on there is "Chern0byl" and he's not getting kicked so I'm guessing he's the admin.

Yup. Effin hilarious. Except you missed the point. Its called a complete reinstall which is one or the suggested fixes. Thanks for the snide comment anyway. Of course the suggestion bananas posted would have been a better first option.

Damn. I saw this after I deleted my local content of Arma in an attempt to reinstall (I already reinstalled everything else). 2 gb / 7 gb to go... B)

Actually that rager/ prozac poser child is probably wrong. Depending on when the update was cancelled. There are such things as rollbacks and staging of download/install files. If it was during the "download" portion, then no, it wouldn't be halfway through install with halfway cooked files. But if cancelled during the install portion, then who knows. My steam update happened while playing, or immediately there after. I got errors popping up about files not matching expected signatures then kicked from server. As soon as I returned to desktop, I got that nice little popup. I don't launch from Steam, but it does run in the background on my PC. So My guess is that the battleeye thing triggered a false alarm, or who knows. Either way, no Dayz means more sleep for me!

So I'm finally getting the hang of DayZ, and log in for another night session of crawling around towns and avoiding bandits when a few error messages about files not what they expected. No biggie, this is alpha still right, but no. BLAM, kicked from server. When back to desktop, I do notice Steam has update something with the main game. So I try another server from Six Launcher, and same damn thing. Seems all servers are kicking me now immediately after connection. So I reinstalled battleeye. I reinstalled six launcher. I am reinstalling Arma2, but Steam wants to download 10 -15 GB after I deleted all my local content. So what are my next steps?
