nother Dayz Commander user.. its a great little proggy. much prefer it to SL...

its a sandbox game.. ur kinda expected to make up your own game session and fill it with what interests you. for me its exploring and surviving.. mind you im going about it hella slow/cautiously... as if my toons life were my own.. personaly i think it would be nice if you didnt become like most and turn from trying to get gear , and start shooting players for no other reason then you saw them... LAME gameplay if you ask me..

yea no doubt some player who couldnt cook raw meat into food left it behind..

umm how bout you play ur sandbox the way you want and ill play the way i want.. PK players NEVER understand sandbox games EVER !!! typical.. so typical

no zombie splatter or fiery crash footage ??? lame !!! grats on finding a car thou.

i thought the winchester was a shotgun ??? how come it uses shotgun shells but ur video seems to show great range/accuracy.

WERD !!! i just spent the entire nite searching for canned food.. ended up having to kill a cow and make a fire to cook the meat. never did find any canned food

ive been at this awesome game for a few days now, but in all my time i have yet to find a single weapon. my latest character survived in Electro for about 6 hrs scrounging eveything to be totaly self suficient for days, but alas i never found a single godam gun.. i had ammo for all kinds of guns/toolbox/bandages/food/water/map/compass/binoc's.. all kinds of stuff that i think is rare, but nothing as rare as a SINGLE GODAM GUN !!! all i found for weapons were my trusty hachet (only weapon i have ever had to date i might add) and a knife of some sort. are guns really that hard to find ??? bloody annoying to have collected so much stuff but having no way to defend myself from Zomb's. single Zombs i survived a few tiems but once i got 2-3 well that was it. knocked down and chewed up for din dins.. ps DayZ Adventures chnl on Youtube is AWESOME !!!!...if you guys see this, keep it up.. :thumbsup: :beans:

had the thunderdome teleport happen to me earlier.. logged out instantly, lukily on a different server i was returned to my original starting place.

oh thats what that is... i logged into a server this afternoon, thought the caption just before i spawned was odd.. it mentioned thunderdome and winning to keep my weapons.. instantly i got edgy and ready to logout.. sure enuf when i spwned i was NOt were i had logged off previously.. logged out instantly before anythin could happen. logged back into the same server i was playing on earlier in the day and i was back were i was supposed to be with all my gear.. woah crisis averted. so the question is if i had stuck around, was the area i was teleported to some kind of horseshit dueling area were you cant escape from while the server admin sits back and watchs ???

OMG just about starved to death again... thx god i came across that cow, and had teh supplies to make a fire.. i cant seem to find canned food anywere anymore.. literaly spent the nite running around from place to place (no cities, didnt wanna risk seeing people).

no normaly its on the same cycle as your area (if your playing on local servers that is) DL a proggy called Dayzcommander (it lets you scan for various flags including day/night.) but even with that sometimes you'll find servers that are different in game then their listed times.. GL with it.. personaly i dont play on dark servers either, its simply not fun..i'll just scan for something with lots of daylight

thx i didnt know i was that close.. guess ill have to keep a closer eye on my food levels

ive got everything i need to hide n survive now.. its off into the hinterlands and explore.. no chance ill be risking the cities now. thx to those offering help.

without 3rd person theres no way noobs can play this.. its hard enuf to learn the game as it is.. having all these things as server flags is the best solution.. find a server set up for how you want to play.. everyone is catered to, instead of forcing just 1 play style on everyone..

only Zeds so far.. their wacky AI/ aggro range makes exploring ANY area with zombs a REAL gamble right now.. some people say its easy to avoid/lose Zombs but i cant do it..every now and then i can lose 1-2 but i ALWAYS seem to pickup more.. always end up having to shoot in the end.. i have almost died of starvation once..curious how long does the flashy red icon last ? is there another icon after that? or is it pass out time ?

ummm the mod is in Alpha.. the entire direction/purpose of teh mod (game) isnt even fully flushed yet.. the fact we all can even play this yet is amazing.. of course theres no endgame. it hasnt even been designed yet let alone coded/tested. enjoy the gameplay thats here now.. if your getting bored, either take a break or slow down and enjoy the journey.. personaly im playing maybe 1 hour a day and REALLY taking my time exploring.. living my character like its my life on the line.. slow n careful wins the race.. well ok, maybe not everytime cuz Zombs are anything but slow.. hahaah

had my first runin with a fellow player today.. think we both scared the shit outa each other.. running along the roadside just in the bushs/trees middle of nowere.. we both stopped and paused for 1/2 sec. then he chats over comms "friendly".. i fumble around trying to type out same in direct chat.. tense moment.. we both had Enfields aswell.. lol 2 noobs passing each other.. good times.. neither of us hung around.. ohwell, managed to make it to the farmhouse i was aiming for, and even found some yummy pasta for dinner.. another day survived in the Apoc.

my fear is a finite of ammo on the server will spike the PKing even more.. esp. against noobs who might have found a few mags but no gun to use it on.. gunna make the life of a new player to the game even harder then it is.. and lets face it its a pretty bug hurdle already. not sure what the answer to this is, guess we'll see soon enuf.

disagree on less ammo = less bandits.. i think less ammo means more likely to bandit kill.

ummm i can tell you right now that as a noob the Zombie threat is brutal hard already.. make Zeds harder and sure enuf ALOt of new players will "uninstall".. maybe the hardcore players find Zombies easy to deal with but for solo/new players its a serious challenge already.. ramp it up even more and well i think that difficult wall becomes a unclimbable challenge i think this game needs a shift into zones of difficulty.. perhaps the noob areas have easier zombs or less.. then make the raise the difficulty factor go up from there as you go inland.

thats right keep spreading the disease.. /sigh...

considering ive played most MMO's with PVP for as many years back as they go, and NEVER killed anyone, i'd bet on more of the same.. in defense is another matter, im talking about "shoot first" PVP kills (usualy for no other reason then the target presents itself)
