umm well considering ive been playing for weeks and have explored maybe 2% of the map and still lug around my Enfield dinnerbell, i'll let you know when i eventualy get bored.. hows that ??? news flash in a sandbox you make your own entertainment..perhaps you should slow down and enjoy the games content more ?? ps the Zombies are still a huge threat to me as a solo player and i do everything slowly and safely. i routinely run out of food n drink and esp. ammo. dam that dinnerbell, hahah

just becuase your not having a problem doesnt mean others arent.. personaly i find the food/water regs. to high currently.. if i ate/drank as much as this game requires i'd be a 500lbs fatty who farted all day and couldnt move..

great, so if im in an area were theres alot of shooting going on, i basicly CANT stop playing ?? do you not see the problem here ??? umm heres an idea how bout if i decide when i wanna stop playing kk !!! were all playing a GAME here, i'll deicde when ive had enuf, i dont need big brother telling me when to stop playing. -
its funny how its ALWAYS the PVP gank squad telling the PVE players what they can and cant have.. fukn typical.. having a server flag for PVE, in NO way prevents the PVP crowd from haing their own servers.. you play your way and we'll play ours.. obviously PVE servers would preclude you from joining PVP servers later with the same toons, cuz as stated above that would be kinda lame to get the best gear without risk from fellow players.. i have ZERO problems staying on a PVE server forever..

better brace yourself, my bet is on the stand alone having more options for easier starting... retail games require larger sales to support. why shoot yourself in the foot by making a game only the hardest of hardcore gamers will play ?? even a hardcore game like Eve online (which has a massive learning curve) has noob friendly features now.. im betting on more server side settings for the stand alone to make it so servers can be more widely varied then we have now for custom game styles. i wont even be surprized to see a purely PVE mode flag.. -

i had this same message once.. turned out one of either myARMA II or Dayz was out of date.. updated and was fine... try that.. i use Dayz commander as it has a built in app to scan for updates. works like the bees knees. -

umm thats what i said.. you are confusing what he actualy said.. just because you " hear" shots doesnt = im under fire.. there could be any number of players around you taking or giving fire..it doesnt in ANY way mean you need to stick around to find out.. if your actualy getting hit (taking damage) thats something else.. the OP simply was stating a case were there was something going on near him... but in the end, you play your way, i'll play mine.. TBH i dont give the slightest fuck what the PVP community thinks, cuz they sure as hell dont care what a non-PVP player thinks/wants. thats for dam sure -

if the standalone continues to provide a play style i enjoy (non-forced PVP enviroment sandbox) then i have no problems paying for it.. but if it moves to a full PVP style ala every other FPS game, then i'll move on.. what i like about the current game(mod) is that i can pick n choose my amount of PVP invovlement to some degree (playing on low pop servers with as many flags turned off to make it harder to find players as possible) if all that remians, then hell ya i'll support Rocket and BI with $$$ for sure.. -
LOL, dont worry im sure the next thing from the PVP gank-squad will be requiring players to stay logged in 24/7, even if your not playing.. "you must exist in the gameworld all the time, come on man up..".. hahaha

dont sweat it, you are under no oblgation to stay logged in any longer then you wish.. your reasons for logging in/out are your own.. until a system comes in that has a combat/aggro log timer, play as you wish.. its not your problem to determine if someone is stalking you or not.. -

you.ve been misinformed.. until they put in a system to prevent logging when in combat your fine to play as you wish.. for what its worth the ONLY person you have to anwser to when you play/log or not play is yourself.. your reasons for logging out are your own, and you dont owe anything to anyone as far as why/when you log. be it for any of a million reasons. -

lukily i had a morphine pen, or i woulda been stuck in nowere with a broken leg. come on Rocket, lets get this issue solved. opening/closing doors shouldnt be like handling unsafe dynamite.. grrr.. now i have no spare Morphine !!! -

dont worry what others are saying.. you can play within your rights as the game allows.. theres nothing stopping you from logging out when you choose to. just dont use cheats/hacks or other grabage and you'll be fine. if your not being fired at directly, you have no reason to remain logged in if you dont feel like it. regardless of your reasons.. /endthread.

My frustrating First 13 Hours

when im a fresh spawn i head right for Elec. or Cherno (depending on were i spawn).. you have nothing to loss at this point, but everything to gain. either i get all my basics and get out alive to head inland or i dont, and rinse and repeat.. i feel much better about going in the 2 main cities as a fresh spawn, then once i have my gear... -

ok im stumped.. why is it when i zoom in (right mouse) in first person view the rifles with scopes dont actualy let me see throu the scope. all i get is a ironsight type zoom.. pretty sure ive seen youtube footage of guys with sniper type rifles zooming in throu the scope.. i cant seem to find what im missing..this is the CZ rifle you find in barns btw.

Ghillie suit help vs hiding/detection from Zombies or is it a pure PVP peice of kit ?

im more worried i would be killed over it, if it doesnt help in PVE, then i wont bother with it. thx for the info.. shame it doesnt help in PVE (i think it should btw). at least in fields/forests. obviously not in urban enviroments
