keep telling yourself your reasons for logging out are ok, but someone elses are wrong.. how do you know they didnt log for EXACTLY the same reasons ??? oh right because you have no idea, thats why..

100% hit nail on head.. most PVP players that bitch about PVE options simply want lambs to the slaughter easy kills.. if they truely wanted quality PVP competition they would gladly be rid of the carebears, who either never pvp or lrn2ply then return to pvp later.. but in my experience its the opposite PVP love to greif plain n simple.

yea cuz im sure Rocket hates money.. i'd bet the farm that when push comes to shove this standalone caters to the largest possible player pool possible,.. but feel free to keep dreaming that retail will mean a game that appeals to a couple of hundred hardcore players instead of millions and millions of casuals..

wrong, ive been playing for 2 solid weeks ive seen maybe 2% of the map and still have a Enfield.. and im happy to have it.. just cuz you might finish the game in 1 day doesnt mean everyone else will.. ur opinion means nothing more then anyone elses.. not more not less..

i guess we just disagree at heart on this issue, and thats fine personaly i dont expect Rocket or those who are in command of the DayZ standalone to supply ANY extra content on a PVE server vs the PVP version.. this is still first and formost a standalone sandbox.. you are EXPECTED to come up with your own fun similar to EVE online,.. there are no raid dungeons to sign up for here, nor should there be.. if you cant visualize how a PVE player comes up with things to do, thats ok, we dont expect you to.. just try to understand that we are capable of it.. ive been playing for weeks, and seen maybe 2% of the map so far..im in no rush to get the best gear and sit ina treetop and wait for "content" to pass me by kkthxbye !!!

DayZ, that is one... no one is asking for a conversion to a completly PVE game were PVP is no longer a viable option.. what we are asking for is a server setting that disables PVP, not transition the entire game community into PVE..

ummm news flash, NO ONE is saying to take PVP out of the game for everyone..

when it was a free mod yes.. agreed.. but now that its headed for a primetime retail release.. i think you'll find hes no longer the final link in the chain of command.. NO business goes out to release a product that appeals to a smaller market then it could..

yes apparently if there is gunfire going on anywere on the map your not allowed to logout for fear your taking some greivers free kill.. heaven forbid you venture into Cherno, you'd NEVER be allowed to logout. hahaha

theres no doubt that most of this entire game community and this forum in general is full of asshats and generaly unpleasant people. you kind of just need to let it all slide and chat with those whos input you value and simply ignore everyone else.. this game DEF. seems to breed haters thou. personaly think it has to do with the entire KOS PVP attitude that has infested the game and leaked into the forum now.

exactly.. punishment for dieing, would only further drive away new players, or even casuals.. perma-death and losing your gear is def. ENUF punishment already.. sounds to me like some people just played throu teh MOD to fast and dont truely understand a sandbox game model.. you have to provide your own reasons to play/enjoy your login time.. this isnt a WoW theme park game, were theres tons of premade content you go run throu..

who knows but im not sure that everyone would group up.. currently the game as it sits makes it VERY dificult for people to get together unless they have a chance meeting or are willing to run for quite awhile.. im DEF. not for any kind of map warping, i LOVE that you either have to hoof it across the map or get lucky to find a mode of transport.. even in a pure PVE server i would still solo play cuz my style and time constraints make forming up (organized ventures, not impromptu meetings) unlikely and basicly more hassle for everyone involved then it would be worth.. i bet there are TONS and TONS of PVE solo players that still wouldnt group up even on a purely PVE server.. but thats just my opinion wether its true or not, who knows. hopefully when the standalone ships we'll find out. i'd hate to see this game become TF on a huge Fn map...in order to appeak to the mass market it needs more then just PVP for the sake of PVP. i just cant wrap my head around any business model that goes to market saying "were only after the few hardcore players mode and nothing more"... in a free MOD, maybe but not in a pay for retail game..

yea i hear when it says setup completed you already exist in teh game world.. so be wary were you log off.. sometimes theres a serious delay before you get a chance to actualy control your toon.

is it banned on every server or just one ?? ive found a few servers that kick me for various reasons (and no im no hacker, hell i dont even know how to install one let alone use one), but i just find another server instead of fretting over why it wouldnt let me in. someitmes its said hi ping, when my ping was under 20, sometimes i think Clans kick outsiders, sometimes its been weird battleeye bug errors.. just move onto another server if you can.. if its on every server, then im sorry i have no idea what to say.. cant help ya i guess

weird, i update using commander all the time and still always find servers even if im using a patch that basicly JUST came out.. just yest. i updated my ARMA II and the commander at first listed no servers running the latest patch, but when i refreshed the server list i ened up with a screen full of options already.

rockets statement there is about the dayZ MOD, this post is about the DayZ standalone, which Rocket hasnt said anything offical as to whats gunna be in it or not yet i beleive as its still wayy to early to expect a definite answer as to what styles of gameplay will be supported or excluded.
