Siberian (DayZ)

basicly if u wanna enjoy dayz. play on low pop. veteran servers. and avoid people like the plaque.. most of the people will look at you as a mobile lootwagon. people will try to justify it by saying you might be a threat. but really they just wanna take what u might be carrying. this games community really went downhill when the mod got popular. sadly its mostly full of douchebag pvp greivers or flatout cheater/hackers.. so if you can manage to avoid people this is a great zombie game

ummm i have dayz commder set to only show servers with the correct versions of everything, and i still get stuck at the loading screens sometimes.. and when im stuck in "loading" hell if i "end program" i will sometiems end up on the coast.. it esp. suks when u finaly get into a game and its night time (even thou the server reports daylite hours)...GRRRRR

i actualy like dieing, its a whoel new chance to reacquire loot and have a new experience with a fresh spawn.. im a bit of a RP player thou, so i take every life/situation as if it were my own.. i never purposely expose myself to risks greater then necc./ or spawn kill myself it keeps the game play fresh and exciting everytime.. even if im hacker killed/ teleport then killed. but hackers can still suck a bag of dicks..

of all the times ive had gear and then lost it.. ive ALWAYS enjoyed getting gear again.. the thrill of what you "might" find when you reach over to pickup loot is usually better then having loot and running around trying to find other loot.. so basicly dont be afraid to lose what you have..new and better loot is just around the bend upon ur next death

i got tele-hacked into the debug plains yest. relogged into a different server, and i was on the beach.. might be worth a try. ps fukn Hackers..

wow, those hackers have some amazing control over what you can do in this game.. im surprized that if you get swapped into a bird, that you can actualy fly.. would have expected you simply look like a bird, but still move around the map like a reg. player.. thats actualy kinda cool, but also a serious facepalm to the sheer craziness that DayZ is being hacked to these days

found a new set yest. after i got teleport hacked and killed in the debug plains.. fukn hackers.. so they are def. still spawning..

cuz those games are FPS games, and nothing more.. this is a sandbox, its a totaly different animal. the game world is there to allow you to play anyway you see fit.. which includes a million variations, the problem lies in that the game employs ZERO rules/boundary's for controlling the general population, and right now there is ZERO reasons not to simply "bandit" and take whateva you want instead of banding together to helps strangers.

solo PVE survivialist.. Enfield or Winchester enuf food/water to goa full play session without having to forage. bandages/morhpine/painkillers/heatpack to be self-sufficient no sidearm try to acquire all the tools, but only really NEED the axe/matchs/knife/compass..anything beyond that is pure cake. my style of play is to explore the map, whilst fighting Zombels and avoiding people.

just set the asshats to ignore.. this place is WAYY more tolerable , trust me.. ps the idea of PVE servers interests me greatly, but until theres a standalone version, i wouldnt hold your breath seeing it..

nope. im ONLY here for the Zombels.. dont give 2 shits for the PVP fest.. theres plenty of ther FPS games for that nonsence..

NEWS FLASH... not everyone plays like you... since this isnt just a FPS game (its actualy a sandbox) , theres plenty of room for ALL play styles amongst the various servers. but as far as the OP's question, NO i dont think there are currently any mechanics in game to prevent PVP..

thx again, i did not know that either.. that'll help speed up looting in risky areas.

i call bullshit.. once a bandit always a bandit.. this game basicly gives you 2 roads to walk.. you chose the easy path, the one most people go down.. which leads to more murders.. enjoy the trip to hell, at least you'll have plenty of company.

lol i just learned something.. i wasnt aware you could see how many people were on the server after you had logged in.. thx for that.. ps also i see your picking up gear without having to mouse over to the -> arrow.. how is it your managing that ???

when im a fresh spawn i raid whicheva town i spawn nearest to.. you have nothing to lose by just zerging your way into town.. you either get ur supplies and book it N, or you get mowed down, rinse and repeat.. more times then not i'll manage to get what i need and bolt.. just dont stick around ANY longer then necc.

im not sure i understand this "bot" thing.. are you saying you log out , but in game my toon is still there for 1 minute, or do i have to actualy sit there and watch the screen for 1 minute before the game closes down ???

forget that i want a white out, blizzard from hell arctic zone map.. all snow all the time.. imagine trying to survive the Zombie outbreak along with snow/ice and frezing temps.. holy crap that would be intense.. having to find shelter all the time going from place to place looking for stuf to survive on, and having to make fires to heat up (fires attract Zombels and players of course).. yup that would make a great map..

exactly... without a means to escape the game hella quick, theres little to no chance i'd still be playing right now.. dieing to something your own fault is one thing but when your about to be killed by hackers/cheaters, well im sorry its ALT_F4 time...
