i agree 100% with most of what you said.. except im still enjoying playing and will continue to do so unless somethngi drastic happens that stops my "fun" factor.

so i ask the question ??? why so easily would you join the ranks of the KoS kiddies ??? stand by your humanity and avoid the situation or simply continue to be the beacon of light in the apoc.. or i guess you can do like almost everyone who plays Dayz these days and just kill everything that moves..sad days indeed

umm i play exclusively on low pop. servers and i dont "farm" for the best loot.. i play solo RP/style as a Zombie apoc. survivor. i take the basics and enjoy living off the land and exploring.. so PLZ dont color everyone with the same brush.. this is a sandbox title, and as such there are countless ways to play this.. not everyone is out to be number1 l33t PVPzorz..

U mad Bro, cuz he ganked you before you could finish ganking him ??? sorry no sympathy, soon as you decide to fire upon someone, you best be prepared for either scenario to occur (you die or he does).. sounds like he got the last laugh..

the tricks ive learned to get it to not wait forever is to make sure you scan for servers matching the exact versions of your files including Dayz and Arma.. then sort by ping, and discard anything over 150 (normaly ive not join anything over 70). then when i fire up the game it seems to go past each section of load screen quickly.. usualy in game within 2 mins. if i get past the connect screen and i get no further update screen, other then loading, i'll usualy end program after no more then 2 mins, and try another server. i dont know how you guys have the patience to wait 10-15mins, yikes

ummm how about you play on the hi pop servers if you WANT to.. and i'll play on the low pop ones.. stop trying to force your game play style on other people.. this isnt GODAM Quake..

holy SHIT no to checkpoints.. that garbage belongs on the shit consoles breed of games it came from..

good thing you dont control the game then... i know this might be hard to understand, but a sandbox title (which this is, its NOT quake or any other nameless PVP FPS game) allows any number of a myriad of play styles.. just cuz you cant wrap your head around it, doesnt mean others cant either.. i'll have you know i've been playing for weeks, never killed another soul (and i wont). avoid combat risks (other players shooting sounds) and generaly survive whilst exploring this HUGE map.. and i've NEVER been bored...

i disagree with just about everyone here.. for me this is still a zombie survival game.. play on Veteran servers (makes you harder to find for PVP players) play on servers with low populations (again makes it less likely to bump into someone) and finaly enjoy trying to survive as long as you can whislt foraging for food/drinks and ammo.. ive been playing like this for weeks on end and still not even close to seeing all the map or getting bored. the game doesnt have to be about PVP, if you can make your own enjoyment out of whats provided.. thats the beauty of sandbox title. just as a word of warning, dont get attached to your gear. you will lose it ALOT. and have to start over.. also be prepared to get killed via bugs/hackers and cheaters.. it happens thats theres basicly only 2 things you can do. either accept it and continue playing. or pack up and stop playing.. i refuse to give the hackers the satisfaction.. i play my way on my terms. sure ive been hacked/killed. but i pick up the peices and move on. hope this helps.. ps if you see me in game dont worry i wont EVER shoot you.

hahaa.. good point. basicly this idea doesnt really work for either group. those looking for victims and fhose looking to not be someones victim. no sale on the whole OPs idea

no night time servers ??? WTF, its what i find most of the time even thou i have dayz cmder scan for daylite hours only. personaly i HATE teh night time, and will disconnect upon joining one or leave when it gets to dark. i simply find the night time no fun AT ALL...

any time ur blood is below 10K, i believe the Zombels have a chance to break ur legs with 1 hit.. always try to stay as full of HP as you can.

LOL, thats a good visual.. also if the backpack once armed could be shot and made to explode i imagine the number opf PVP killings would skyrocket.. people would shoot people in the back with hopes of seeing a mushroom cloud..

oh that happened to me one time i was trying to open my map, and somehow i breifly saw a screen with what looked like check boxs and player names, and options for things like kick/mute or some stuff.. wasnt even sure how i got there, but within a few secs i get kicked from the game.. that explains what it was..i was confused at the time, cuz i was simply trying to open the ingame map, and didnt know how/were the admin screen even came from.

curious why you simply dotn fire up Dayz, and let the food/drink timers expire ??? you will die eventualy, just fire up the game and then go do something else for whateva amount of time is reg'd.. i dont think it would even take an hour of waiting to get to the point of death from no food n water..

i usualy see the floating loot outside of houses that you cant enter.. think its some weird bug were loot spawns, but since the building is unenterable it places it outside in the air.. ive never managed to grab any of it either.. fwiw...

body stays till looted/hidden or server restart.. and yes it does stay on the server you died on.. if you log to another server you wont find your body.

same scenario happened to me the other day.. what a hassle.. godam hacker..
