Siberian (DayZ)

^^this^^^.. frankly im not expecting anymore gameplay then whats in the mod, but with a shiny new UI and some bug fixs/less hacking. oh and some mor enterable buildings. sadly i dont think SA will be that entertaining for long unless they add in easy addon map support.. chernarus even with a shiny new coat of paint simply isnt that intersting at this point. and as a last point i dont expect the KoS issue to be resolved and will return as bad as ever within 2 weeks of release after most people have toured the new map, and become bored.

its the latest sciddie hack. but its actualy kinda cool. should be in the SA. its got excellent atmosphere

DLd and tried it for a few hours this eve. so far its not all that diffrent from tav. tbh. also i noticed some weird hit detection bugs shooting Zs. earlier i was in a barn shooting directly into a Z with a Enfield from the top floor looking directly down. 6 bullets later it still wasnt dead. that was enuf for me..logged out and think ima wait to see if this mod gets better.. at this point i was VERY meh....

pretty good for a fan trailer... but tbh, not good enuf to be the actual SA trailer..

soon as u tried to move in that first industrial area where u were 1/2 in the ground i could hear the broken legs coming...

ceehrist when will people stop telling other people how to play.. fine u dont like 3RD person..go play on servers with it off.. /endthread. theres lots of things in dayZ i dont like, you dont see my standing on a soapbox trying to have it removed.. i simply dont play on those servers..

is that true ??? cuz thats a radical shift for new players .. its pretty hard to find a place to loot as a new player with slow indoor Zeds. with Zs that run all the time just like players i can really se new players never having time to stop to search/loot.. cuz Zs will be on their ass from login till death.

all the addon maps are worth trying. namalask has the best atmosphere. Taviana is massive and feels the most professionaly done. even better then Chernarus if u ask me Takistan offers a decent size and not much cover.. i really liked this map panthera has weird sizing issues esp. with roads when driving. fallujah is huge but if u dont like wandering around a massive urban area u wont like it zargabad is similar to fallujah cept its all city.

my biggest gripe of 2017, was the sheer amount of empty buildings with no loot or empty cans.. while it fits the theme perfectly if makes for a hyhper boring play session.. shame to cuz i love some of the art in 2017.

no , i play all the time in 3rd person. even in combat.

seriously... just die and start over.. in a manner which doesnt allow you to reclaim ur gear. you wont be able to enjoy DayZ for all it can be if ur constantly fear logging in due to "i dont wanna loss my gear"

why not just play a single player game then.. its hilarous hhow bandits/KoSers all say, be careful dont get seen. if thats the idea of DayZ is to never encounter players in order to expect to stay alive, then why not just change DayZ into a singleplayer expereince.. its the same bloody thing.. i play DayZ expecting to run into players, but it would be nice if every fukn encounter wasnt just bullets flying my direction right away...

i dont know about you, but i play GAMES for FUN.. stumbling around in pitch black, not being able to see shit (unless u use the gamma-cheat, which i wont). or finding a nite server with a moonlite night making my game seem like an ol B&W TV show.. NO thx.. i personaly dont feel playing in the dark adds to the expereince at all, if anything it makes it more boring cuz u cant see anything.. might aswell just turn the puter off and stare at the monitor.. 24/7 daylite servers for me.. if nitetime was made to be more "fun" and less like being blind i'd reconsider but as it is now.. no sale...

ima lefty and i use arrow keys for direction.. i remap most keys in any game.. as most games default to right handed users.. its something u just get used to having to do..

twins seperated at birth are we !!! personaly i share your exact sentiments.. but im almost convinced at this point that the COOP day of DayZ are gone..i have zero faith that Rocket will implement a system that prevents dayZ from remaining the KoS game it is now.. just another FPS set on a massive map..

EXACTLY.. i think it will be boredom of Chernarus that makes me play the MOD after SA ships.. i strongly beleive addon map support for SA will be radicaly curtailed vs. what we se in the dayZ mod.. hope im wrong thou. i really really dont even wanna return to Chernarus in SA, its soooo played out...

if you KoS other survivors, then you are part of the problem, not the solution.. sure you can deflect the blame saying everyone else does to, but if your not willing to step up to the plate and stop KoSing, then there NEVER will be a solution.. cuz i have ZERO faith Rocket will ever add mechanics to stop KoS from being the epidemic it is now, even in SA.

exactly !!! just wear it, people will KoS you anyways.. its whats DayZ is left with for "gameplay" these days sadly..

arma II CO (combined operations) then DL DayZ.. but tbh, the simpliest way is buy ArmaII CO, (run it once, as in loadup a game), return to desktop and DL and install DayZ commander. that program will make everything about getting dayz installed and running way easier for yuo. hope that helps.

then in the interst of fairness i suggest you dont roll out ANY changes to blood regen until both team and solo players are affected equally... being a solo player i take it as a slap in the face to roll out a change that only affects 1 play style. perhaps take away blood bags for now until u finalize how blood regen will work for solo players.. that seems fair, everyone is now affected the same way..
