if u speed up running or making travel to easy, then the road towards boredom happens that much faster.. its all about pace. if u speed it up to much end game suffers. -

if you think KoS is a issue, just wait and see if they add a mechanic that takes control away from a player (such as handcuffs), and just watch the grieving spiral out of control. this community cant even deal with KoS, u think having players left with no control other then nothing watching events unfold wont get abused ??? haahh dream on. its an intersting idea but sadly, it would get abused instantly, till it became a much worse problem then KoS, in fact it would make everyone KoS out of fear of having player control removed (even if only for 5 mins.) -

so what ur really saying is you just want more targets even if the majority of those targets arent intersted in ur CoD game. this is always the issue with PVP- in games were its part of but not the entire focus. the PVP crowd wants everyone to have to pvp, regardless if a % of the community is into other things be it crafting or any other of a hundred nameless ventures. in the end its ALWAYS the pvp crowd who say, u have to pvp or gtfo. you'll notice the crowd who dont pvp, or simply want to make sure DayZ doesnt continue to be a KoS game till the end of time, arent requesting that pvpers completly give up their play style. but its ok, i know from many many other games the PVP crowd will never come around.. its all about having targets, esp. targets that arent interested in being targets. why go North and battle PVPrs that actualy are seeking it, when u can just greive fresh spawns on the coast ... bloody typical..

this is what i was afraid of.. personaly i loved how 1.7.5 made the PVE side harder to just leeroy jenkins mode.. alas i hope 1.7.6 isnt as bad as ur saying, but i wont be surprized -
save ur breath, KoS'r simply dont understand anything else.. people who pvp in dayz all the time, could care less if theres no PVE community.. its the same issue that pops up in every game that has pvp mixed with PVE (but no region locks, or other ways to stop greiving) the pvpers wanna be able to do anything/everywhere, but the PVE community get left with either joining them, or basicly GTFO. which obviously isnt good for a game shefllife long term. but like i said, PVP'rs dont care about that, they just want more targets.

thats the single biggest issue in dayz is trying to convince players to stop KoSing.. without a mechanic in place i think you'll see cows fly first. in the early dayz it was wayyyy more coop as people were new to the game and everyone was just trying to survive..but with knowledge came boredom, then came KoS for the lulz. and dayz has simply not moved on from that point yet. in SA the KoS will subside for a bit as people learn the new mechanics/map, but in no time the KoS will return as strong if not stronger.

the only way i can see them slowing sales at release is either to simply limit the amount of CDkeys for sale, or simply limit the amount of servers so even if u buy thre game u might not find a server slot to take. neither idea will make people happy.. i can easily see DayZ SA selling every copy thats released on day1. no problem.. my guess is within hours tbh. -

i havent heard anything to make so i beleive that 1st/3rd person option will be removed. i fully suspect SA will continue to offer servers running 1 or both options. this way no customers are left out. there are plenty of paying customers who prefer 1 option or the other. -

there are 2 things in the latest blog update that make me /facepalm.. first is it sounds like no addon map support for the foreseeable future after release. which is a serious problem. no matter how cool the new Cherna. is, its still an OLD map to most players. it simply isn tgoing to keep people interested for very long. we need fresh areas to explore/play. we just DO. secondly and this one doesnt really affect me personaly but i feel for streamers.. the 1 character per CDkey.. YIKES.. already alot of streamers get trolled/stream sniped and generaly hassled when they play under any number of alias'. imagine having only a single name/character to play under without having to rebuy the game.. i think thats gunna be a BIG problem.. ima still sticking to my guns.. dayz SA not until June... prove me wrong guys... -

u dont have to bandit to survive..thats total BS.. ive been playing since early June, and i still havent killed another player.. ive become quite a expert at rabbiting to stay alive without having to resort to killing other players.. do i die to other players cuz i wont shoot back ? sure, but not very often.. if ur careful, and pay attention DayZ can be a fabolous test of ones ability to survive a harsh climate without having to resort to the KoS problem thats so rife within the community right now (and for months n months TBH).
