you can remove your rose colored glass' now.. ive been playing dayz since it basicly hit the ground, and i have always played TPV, and mostly crosshairs.. i NEVER had a problem finding a server. in fact i'd say the only trouble was finding a server that wasnt full dark, hahaah godam nitetime servers..8-( all of this was done on mainhive servers..it was months and months before i ever started using private hives.

yes i'd still use it regardless. flight sims/driving games be them arcade or "realistic" models, if theres a 3rd person view i use it. its simply a more entertaining, visualy pleasing experience.. which when refering to games is the whole point.. SA at the end of the day is a game, it isnt some VR real scenario...

simply put who are you to decide what is a valid reason for prefering 1 view point to the other ??? all you guys are the same, you repost the opposing view then throw the personal bias in at the end. tainting your entire post. leave out the bias and simply accept you have an opinion and respect that others do aswell. my preference for 3rd person is a choice i like its not a GODAM crutch.. same as some people prefer pvp/KoS and some dont. not PVPing isnt a crutch either.. its a preference.

haha so if someone doesnt like FPS, they have to fight with sticks n stones.. holy crap im glad your not in charge of anything Dayz related.. that might be among the VERY worst ideas in the history of this storied thread..

its cool your fine playing 3rd person with ur friends but then want it removed for everyone else that enjoys 3rd.

exactly, this is at the core of the matter. FPS players cant accept that Dayz is more then just a KoS fest. the thought that people enjoy different things inside the game is beyond them..

so will you be mailing a cheque off to BI for all those lost sales ?? since you clearly dont care if the dev. costs get recouped or not.

dont worry, no ones gunna give a rats ass about any of these "health issues".. people will simply suicide and respawn at the first sign of any inconvienence. the dayz community cant even wrap its head around not KoSing, do you think they will put up with all Rockets planned meta-gaming. hell i bet people wont even shit, they will suicide and respawn with a fresh colon. hahah

haha, ok im curious what you think SA costs to dev. on a monthly basis ? or do you think staff/buildings/ and every other bloody thing cost nothing !!!!

news flash he could have made SA EXACTLY like the mod and it still would have sold millions.. his version of SA as it stands today is still eagerly awaited by many many people, althou obviously some of the fire has cooled due to delays, but certainly not due to omg 3rdperson cam? wtf...

yes cuz nothing says success then a game built for 6 people that costs millions to produce.. make no mistake SA is expected to sell huge, this isnt the mod were talking about anymore, that was free.

did you even read what u wrote before submiting ?? step back and ask yourself if ANY game dev. would read that and agree its the best thing to do.. hahaha

3person allday every day. oh and no nitetime ever. so put that in ur pipe n smoke it.

nope i play my entire dayz expereince in 3rd person. except for the tiny % of time when say a Z is right in my face and there are no CHs .

it adds to server load immensly..

so anyone who isnt interesting in just playing CoD style should GTFO ? dayz mod or SA, isnt a FPS game, its WAYYYY more then that. thats the VERY core issue here. FPS gamers who just wanna shoot everything they see looking for the mystical hi-score.

i think it may be something of just the viewpoint.. oddly i can play FPS games just fine. but in arma, FPV makes me feel odd, and for sure trying to watch a utub/twitch feed in 1st person gives me a right away sickly feeling, i think it has to do with the not being in control. like for example i cant read a book or watch a movie in a traveling vehicle, ill get neasues (sp?) right away as soon as i take my eyes off the road/direction of travel.

it was early on, now its a KoS DM along the coast most times. sad really...

i myself only had a brief encounter with arma before dayz existed, but back then i found it to be to "dry" and mil-sim for me. oddly enuf i now love it, haahah... ps arma 3 is AWESOME, cant wait for the full game to drop. been loving playing throu the alpha/beta phase. been a complete suker for "escape from Stratis".i cant get enuf of it

you mean other then seperate 1st and 3rdperson servers ??? that solution keeps EVERYONE playing on servers they prefer. oh and it costs ZERO dev time..

huh ??? i suppose if u hadnt played any ARMA at all that might be the case. but i knew of and used 3rd person right from my initial spawn in. ps im still friendly..(no PKs lifetime still)
