Haha, hey it doesn't hurt to ask. Like I said in my OP, this was going to be a dumb question. Might as well as get all my dumb questions out there.

People don't trade NVGs or Ghillie Suits for Mountain Dew, do they? I've found 2, one in a supermakret, and one off a survivor. I keep them as a last resort because I saw them listed on the wiki as "extremely rare"

Why did the M1911 and Revolver get nerfed?
Bramacgar replied to spankimus's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This wouldn't be such a bad idea if the walkers got handicapped if shot. If I shoot a walker in the chest it should stun him momentarily, if in the leg it should fall to the floor, etc. A head shot or 4 shots anywhere would be needed in the end to finish off the walker. I mean, it was hard enough to shoot a walker before with one shot kills. Now it's going to be annoying. New players won't appreciate the difficulty increase. -
You haven't heard? That is exactly what it's come down to. New players/Fresh spawns are what make this game interesting. Bandits, IMO, just make me question it.
-
Figured as much. Was worried I wasted, what I thought to be "rare" items. Thanks. ^_^
-
A thousand times this. These 3 items are basically end game. Toss in a water bottle or two and you're pretty much all set. Hatchet wielding players can be the end to a lot of people in this game. New players always try to aim for the big weapons. They should try to find these items and work their way up. And when you think you're safe. You're not. Sneak better. Close doors. Hide bodies. Take caution. Check everywhere. Keep moving.

Console is great for games like Halo and Killzone. They aren't on the PC which is a bummer in itself and they also have an easy to manage online system. I don't know about the rest of you, but my friends are too cheap to afford a quality PC to play games like DayZ. If your friends have a decent PC and will play with you then definitely ditch the console. I try to get the best of all worlds.

Had no idea. When I've killed people I didn't know who it was 'till they went down and their name popped up stating they were killed. Might have to be more cautious when trying to take down a bandit/survivor from now on to avoid blame.
-
I kinda like the idea of a morality system. Get X walker kills combined with X survivor kills gets you a different skin. I s'pose it was taken out for good reason though.
-
I wasn't around at the time. Did they explain why they took off the Bandit skin?
-
How can you check name plates?
-
Check your timestamps mate. This thread was made before that one. Can't search for something that didn't exist at the time. Besides, I got my answer 4 hours before you made this post of yours explaining how the search bar works. While I thank you for your help, it was no longer needed. ;)

I mean I might be wrong because I'm using a wiki as info, but it looks as if the revolver is still one shot.
-
:( Now I don't wanna.

This. Click on your bag. Then click open bag. Equip the Czech backpack before doing so and leave the patrol pack. 16 extra slots for equipment. ;) Nope.
-
It's still just a one shot for me. Might be lag.

I carry my G-17 in my backpack for night trips trying to find some NVGs. It's not the best gun but anything is better than being caught pants down against a walker at night.

What do youy do if you see a player
Bramacgar replied to Kaffarov37's topic in New Player Discussion
If I see a black rifle then it's just sneak up and kill. I don't care what weapon it turns out being. I do not take the chance of skipping out on it. That's how I came across my FN FAL NVG scope. If I see any kind of backpack that looks out of the ordinary I'll try to take a closer look. If it doesn't look like a Coyote Backpack, I'll skip. If someone is getting close or coming towards me and no communication has been made then they die. Regardless of what they're carrying. I killed a few starters and a few good people, but I don't like taking chances. I let everyone else go. I'm a logical kinda bandit. -
I finally found a tent, but I'm unsure if I should use it. The wiki kinda helps but left me confused. Maybe one of you can answer my questions about tents? If I place the tent down, it won't ever disappear until I'm dead. Correct? If the server resets, will the tent will remain? Does the tent have a lightsource, can it be equipped with one? All in all, should I hold on to the tent until the game is updated more?
-
Damn. It really doesn't save stuff in them? I don't want to hold onto this tent any more than I have to. S'pose it'll just hold on to it for now.
-
Title. Should I use the Double Barrel Shotgun or Enfield?
-
That's what I was thinking too simply because it holds more ammo without using much slots, but isn't it much louder than the DBS?
-
I killed a man.. I wanted to take his ALICE pack but I have no idea how. I dropped my bag by mistake and now I can't find it. What do I do?
-
Is indeed my first kill. It was me or him unfortunately since he attacked with a shotgun. I used the mouse scroll over his body and could only find the options to open his bag study his body and that's it. My bag dropped and disappeared, so I desperately need his bag. When I open his bag, nothing shows up but a water bottle and some ammo.

Well aren't you nice. ^_^
