I really don't see a problem with the chopper. I almost never saw them when playing and from what I've seen from videos, you just get a couple people to shoot at the chopper and it's pretty easy to take down. -
If Arma 2 was a better game, I could see myself in first person more, but like others have said, I personally just hate first person in this game. I've put tons of hours into first person games, where you spend a long time running around, Fallout, Skyrim, BF3, STALKEr, but I just hate it in this game. I'll go first person in buildings, but third person outside usually, especially for long runs.

Yeah people are basing too much on a buggy, problem ridden, alpha, mod. The standalone is where things are going to change, not this mod. You bring up weapon durability, but do you mean like the more you use a weapon, it'll eventually break, or more like what Rocket wants, that you'll come across better quality versions of the same gun, so like a rusty enfield won't do as much damage or shoot as accurately, compared to a pristine enfield? Rocket's idea I like. And yes, NVG needs batteries, of which those batteries will be more rare than the NVG's. The high end powerful guns like the sniper rifles and LMG's should also have noticeable weight issues. I believe they do take up more space than guns in the backpack, I forget, it's been awhile, but you should run slower or tire out quicker when wielding one. There's a big difference between an 8 pound M16 and a 31 pound AS50 lol

His story was extremely easy to read :\ I probably would've done the same myself. If it was a friend I knew doing it, I'd shrug it off, but if someone was doing that to me, I'd either just leave him behind or end him. Sure he wouldn't stay dead such as one would say in the Rick/Shane comparison you made and would just try to hunt you down, but some people just get to freaking insufferable to be around and if they can't be talked down, something has to be done. -
Nope. It's like saying someone having a high end rifle is unfair because it's more powerful than what others will normally get. I think once the dupers and scriptkiddies are gone and the "economy" is back to normal, it won't be such a big deal. Yes they'll have an advantage using them, but that's the game. There is never an even playing field for everyone in this game.

I stopped playing till they either release a major update or bring out the standalone. With all the hacks and bugs, I just don't feel it as necessary to invest the time into it right now. The standalone is out before the end of the year, so we got at the most, a little over two months to see the standalone release.

It's really a pointless argument right now till the hackers are gone and there aren't any duped or hacked weapons. Once everyone is on a more even playing field and military weapons are made to be EXTREMELY rare, it'll cut down on some of the sniping problems we have I hope. -

I remember the G17 being pretty dang weak. It is nice to have, but we should be able to use flashlights and pistols together if we want to keep with the idea of realism here, or at least done in a way that you can easily switch between them. Something I assume that can be remedied in the standalone. -

If I had NVG, I'll stay, but I generally don't unless I'm near a town or city. Most nights in the game are unrealistically dark, so it ends being rather annoying getting around at all. Sure it's nicer for looting due to zombies not seeing ya, but I generally prefer daytime looting unless I'm prepared for a night shift. -

There's no good reason to get DayZ right now with the standalone only a few months away. ARMA2 is not appealing to most and DayZ is in a pretty sorry state to be recommending it at all. I can find some enjoyment out of it, but I also bought it for a cheaper price at the time. -
Well I think the idea behind the coast spawning, is that you've either washed up or were dropped off at the coast to begin your survival, giving alittle context to why your there. Being able to spawn at more locations around the map certainly would help cut down on the beach killings though, I agree abit with that.

I've only seen Lingor or Chernarus, but because Chenarus is the official one, it is a better map that I've seen between the two. Lingor has more open buildings, but it's really badly balanced and doesn't look very well done honestly. It looks sloppy compared to Chernarus which feels like a real place to me.

Even with tools, they are so finnicky to get rid of and I found that if they block like Firehouses, they seem impossible to get rid of unless you server hop to get inside them. Mostly asshats use them to be obnoxious right now. -
I had it happen once and luckily I got killed by someone running by me. I don't know if the bug fixes itself or not as I couldn't do it across multiple servers. One thing to do, if you know a person or can get hold of a person, is to get them to come kill you if possible.

Thought so. I know I hadn't had it happen before the last patch which was the last time I played, but just wanted to make sure. I have been randomly reset to the beach after logging out somewhere, but I think that is another issue entirely. I tend to server hop alot, due to it simply being hard to find a good server. I do have a regular one, but it's pretty low pop and if I want to consider some action or try another for whatever reason, I have to leave to find it. With DayZ Commander not always properly working with the right time of day, hackers, simply bad servers (I'll get on some that just kill framerate), legitimate server hopping is pretty common.

I think it's justified. No response, came at you, and even if the hatchet isn't considered as threatening as a gun, if they get close enough and you aren't paying attention, they can be even deadlier than a gun. Anyone with any sort of smarts would know to not run up to a person wielding an axe and no communication and expect it to turn out well lol -

Yeah to get rid of my bandit skin, I just ran off out of the cities and did some small town searching, with around 7 or 8k negative humanity...I think it took...between 6 and 10 hours to lose. Something like 2 to 300 humanity gained every 20 minutes or long. I really don't remember how long it took lol
