My crossbow stopped oneshotting Z (bodyshot) at the patch/bug that nerfed the 1911. Two arrows required on body to down a Z. Dunno if it's been fixed/buffed again.

I'm not going to shoot anyone unprovoked, but I'm not going to offer my help either. KoS unprovoked is just unnatural for me as a human being, it's not something I would do IRL, so I don't do it ingame. There are other, more immersive ways of surviving, for me.

Excluding certain elements one would except from a game like DayZ would put the breaks on immersion, at least for me. One of the key reasons I play games is to immerse myself in other worlds, situations and interactions. But I also believe that censorship should always be present, by the state, by parents, by oneself. After all, most people censor themselves in their daily life, we have laws and common decency to uphold. Artists have to find a balance between realism and just plain "going full retard for the sake of provoking". Also, we should not censor just because. As OP states, taboos and boundaries are dynamic, it will never be static, let's just not throw ourselves across those boundaries, and then come to realize where we landed. TL;DR: Censorship is ok, exploring taboos is ok. Just don't go full retard either way.
