Nope. I died at NWAF and my friend watched my body, I had time to run from Kamenka all the way back up stopping only once or twice to look for a drink and another bandage, about a 45min journey because of the stopping and it stayed there after I relooted and we left.

Everytime ive had one in my pack either myself or my friend dies horribly and hope the other one is in good shape to watch the body....please dispose ASAP lol.

The few servers ive come across with side chat has been some of the more fun ones ive played on. Not because I used it to stalk people or meet up with randoms to go out and do whatever. Mainly just for the side conversations and if a new player has a legit question people can at least offer some advice. I know when I first started it was really nice, had some good questions answered for me as well as warned to stay out of the big cities until I had a small grasp of the gameplay and controls.

Everytime I have had one in my pack something horrible happens with the zombies...nothing player related yet. Ill see how long I can go this time with it lol

Well...if you look at the loot tables. Everything except the AKM and AKS are under a 1% drop rate for the barracks. I generally will run in and out real fast if im in the area and ive scanned it to make sure its safe. Other than that I would rather hunt for crashed helo's than risking the often camped NWAF. -

I randomly found this mod from youtube. Read the forums a bit and realized what it was about. Perfect game IMO. Running around, dodging zombies and looting and the hard parts of getting good loot. But what I really liked was if you die you have to start over again. And just like in real life you have the assholes who just shoot on sight because you might have something. If you get butthurt because you died you are probably the same person who throws their controller in COD/BF if you get one more death than kill. -
I generally use blue just because I think its like 35m sight distance on them. Flares can be dangerous but good to lure zombies away if you suck at avoiding them or just cant see at all.

Don't feel bad. That is the risk of setting up a camp. Just because you've never seen players in that area doesnt mean they dont venture through there. Ive been camp hunting for a little while and come across some with just basic survival stuff. Hopefully I can find a camp with good loot in it and then start my vehicle search.

I have had the luck of taking 20mins from a fresh spawn and having an alice pack, lee einfield, 1911 and enough supplies to go up north(map, compass, matches, etc). You just have to learn the buildings to loot. I had to teach my friend who just started just by looks which buildings have possible loot. You also need to not just straight haul ass through a city/town or farm area. You have to actually think about it, use the sight and sound meter. Also just a tip...if you have walkers chasing you...just find a big bush or the big fern looking trees and go prone near them. Most of the time if you do it right the zombies will de aggro. -
Removing the respawn button sucks.

I actually like that it was removed. I have never respawned whored because I wasnt close enough to Cherno or Elektro for gear. Normally I just run or go look in the small towns since everyone skips over them. That way I can atleast have a makarov or some rifle/shotgun when I go to the bigger cities. Ive actually been able to fully gear for survival up north without ever touching foot in a big city. I just hate seeing "This person died" like 9000 times. -

I can confirm they are back. Got geared up in elektro and was making a sweep back to one building for some ammo and went prone near some walkers...and BOOM BOOM goes a DMR from a gillie lol. Didnt see it until I died haha -

Recently I found an MP5SD in a deer stand as I was randomly going through the forest. Threw it in my bag. So my set up is now DMR for medium range fights, MP5SD for going into cities and my 1911 for whatever else I need. I like it because its got long range, medium, and silent CQB possibilities. That way I dont feel too naked just pulling out a noisy 1911 in the city.

I was so happy to find this game through youtube videos. Once I saw how it was I was like OMG! FINALLY! I love BF3 to death and hate MW3 and what is has become. I like that you lose your gear...why? Because that would HAPPEN in real life if you died...well except for the respawn part. -

Ive come across this a few times. I havent been in a firefight full blown yet but thats because im solo atm. But I have come across someone who tried to killed me, failed, aggro'd zombies as I was shooting back and then just poof...gone. I think making a few more basic rifles/shot guns in the starting area's might help with this problem. Because if within 5-15 mins you can have a rifle/shotgun, side arm, some mags, food and water then you wouldnt be too pissed. Because you still have the ability to go off and find that sweet gear again. -

I use this exact tactic when I have been killed and have to start over. I just go to the building under construction outside Cherno, normally there is atleast a hatchet and thats what I use inside cherno so I can move fast and silent to gear up. -

Everyone is focusing too much on "random" here. There is NO such thing as "random" in the computer world. Granted it can be a hard ass pattern to figure out but nothing is truly random. But with that being said ive only come across 2 and it was at NWAF. One was literally next to the hangers and other one was near the landing strip. Both had been looted to all heck as only lee einfields and some AKMs were left. -

I knew of loot maps but never wanted to use them. I spent the first few days risking life after life in cherno/elktro to find something I could start my journey up north with. When I found a lee einfield I was so excited I jumped for joy. OH SNAP A 1911 IN THE NEXT ROOM TOO!?!? I was freakin set. Ive never come across anything high tech but recently got a DMR off a crashed helo when I logged in and it was right in front of me. I dont think its too hard to find one if you know where. But I also agree that I dont think every clan or group should be all decked out with we will rape you gear. -
Ive done that trick so many times. Even as a fresh newb I watched a few videos and understood how the sight meter works. Generally leaving a town or something I might get one or two I didnt see(stupid crawling mofo's) and I just crouch run until I find the right tree and prone out. They stop RIGHT on top of me and start walking back to town.

I had that experience when I first started. I spawned a few times and each time died by hatchet from someone. I guess a bandit saw this, killed that player and drop a makarov for me. I know the pistold sucks but as a newb any sort of gun and a few mags is a god send. -

There have been a few times that i've come across someone who used comms to tell me they were friendly. Which was nice because it seemed to just be us in Cherno and he had a shotgun and I only had nothing lol. I will try in the cities but will not hesitate to shoot you in the face if you don't respond and spin on me. If im out in the country side i'll observe just to see what you have and if my shot will be heard from possible other players. Mostly I leave them alone. -
Very nice. Its cool to see things like this happening in servers. Too many times when I first started I died. Just got that first rifle and pistol and some food and wanted to leave. Only to come across someone with a nice weapon and just blow me away. I might just come over to that server and see what you guys are all about

You just have to do remote login. I freaked out but then saw the advice on here. It works just fine...well more than just fine! Best luck ive had ever when logging in. Log in...BOOM crashed helo with L86 ASW and AS50 with 3 mags each..made my freaking day!
