Hatchets takes shitload of space in 1.7.1.4

Then give me a small hatchet that can only be used to chop wood, until then this change is silly. -
0.19% or Why I stoped playing

Since when is pure chance about sucking or not? You can get lucky and find NVG's on the first try, or you could look forever without finding one. Geez, kids today. -

It was. -
No it is not a bug. The setting has existed since the days of Cold war Crisis and is called "Extended map info" in Arma 2. If I'm not mistaken it's on by default on regular unless turned off individually.

You never mentioned the difficulty settings. I absolutely refuse to play on any server with nametags on since they allow people to spot you through bushes hundreds of meters away. The setting that allows you to see your exact position on the map (including location of nearby people) at all time is also a big no no. Third person is bareable but I'd rather not have it. There's not enough veteran servers, and it's at veteran settings that the game truly shines.

Game Design Analysis: Why Cross-Server persistency must die

A solution that comes with its own set of big problems and it only solves a problem that would come about as a result of removing CS persistency. Back to the drawing board. -
Game Design Analysis: Why Cross-Server persistency must die
darkseed79 replied to Tartantyco's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This post of mine is pretty much just a glorified +1, but that's a very valid point you're bringing up there OUberLord. Cross server persistancy may have it's share of issues at the moment but it's one of the biggest reasons why the game is as good as it is. The game is currently in alpha and rocket says he has a way to prevent server-hopping so let's just wait for now and see how it goes. -
Daytime servers are always overloaded.
darkseed79 replied to DaPessimist's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Indeed. I can understand rockets reasons for wanting a 24 hour cycle but since nobody actually plays 24 hours a day a compressed cycle would be more realistic and would lessen the server migration. I don't want to switch to day servers, I want to play during the night as well, but always playing at night when they're as dark and long as they are is pretty much impossible. -
