    Hive connection refused

I can confirm now it connects on first attempt. It sure took a while to fix. I recomment you get better monitoring of the hive infrastructure. Thanks,

    Hive connection refused

Yeah I have the same SYN_SENT to that IP. Does it have some sort of access-list blocking some of us from connecting? You mean u left it trying to connect every second and it finally connected after an hour? Anyway this is getting frustrating, I'm getting really dissapointed with dayz.
  3. welcome to the club. I tried contacting the dayz staff as it says, by submitting a ticket but no answer for a week now.

    Hive connection refused

So any update on this? I still get the infinite "Connection refused" and I literally restarted the server hundreds of times and still no luck.

    Hive connection refused

Yes. I put it in Arma2 OA root folder \ cfgdayz I suppose it's in the right place since it doesn't give the "file not found" error anymore.

    Hive connection refused

I tried putting that blank HiveExt.ini in cfgdayz but nothing has changed other than not getting that initial "File not found" and in the log there's nothing except that "Error getting config: Connection refused". But I suppose it does need the official .ini in order to know the IP of the hive.

    Hive connection refused

I restarted it like 30 times. It seems I can't even get the config. So I'm not even getting to the part where it tries to connect to hive mysql. I suspect there is like a pool of servers that hosts the HiveExt.ini but I keep getting directed to one that is down. Strange thing is that If I put the old v0.7.4 hive files back...it works ok.

    Hive connection refused

I replaced the .pbo file in @hive/AddOns with the one posted by Sharkiller but I still get the same "Error getting config: Connection refused" error. So is that what is happening? My server is trying to download the HiveExt.ini (in order to get the info on connecting to the hive) file and it's getting a "connection refused" ? I have all outgoing ports opened. As far as I can tell it's trying to connect to 109.70.149.42 (server.gamingdeluxe.co.uk) on port 80...but it seems there isn't anything listening on :80 there. Isn't there any other way I can get the hive config?

    Hive connection refused

As a more or less temporary fix: Restoring the old v0.7.4 hive files seems to get the server working but I'm not sure If there are any (bad) consequences to doing this. But if possible I`d like to get it working with the latest files :(

    Hive connection refused

I tried the 0.9.6.6 hive files but still getting the same error. And also at the begining it says it's unable to load configuration file ...\cfgdayz\HiveExt.ini Do I need that file? I don't recall ever seeing a file by that name anywhere, and the server worked before. http://i.imgur.com/VeY0M.jpg Any ideeas?

    Hive connection refused

I feared something like this. If we have to wait for hive admins to do something....then god have mercy on our souls

    Hive connection refused

I'm having the same problem. Ever since I upgraded to the new Hive version 0.8.0.0 I'm getting the same error: [Warning] Error getting config: 'Connection refused', retrying in 1 seconds (try 0) [Warning] Error getting config: 'Connection refused', retrying in 1 seconds (try 1) [Warning] Error getting config: 'Connection refused', retrying in 1 seconds (try 2) [Warning] Error getting config: 'Connection refused', retrying in 1 seconds (try 3) ...etc... I noticed that sometimes after a couple of restarts it manages to connect. But right not for example I`ve restarted it for like 20 times and it's not working. Any ideea on why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks,
  13. Any news on when the 0.5 will be released? And it would be cool if you could remove that "Refreshing players..." message that appears every few seconds..it's kind of annoying. Cheers,

    So The Rumors Are True...

heh, yes I found one too about a month ago but I never got to drink it because I got killed by bandits :(
  15. copy latest beta from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php , install on server, change beta version in server name (from config) = you're done.

    Random global ban?

Read up on www.battleye.com on the recent cd-key theft spree
  17. I can also confirm the problem with the country flags randomly changing.

Help a n00b to use BEC

And what exactly is the password or where do you define it? Is it the rcon password? On the BEC main webpage it clearly states: "Once a admin has been verified he/she is free to send commands defined in the command file. No log-ins are required." But I am having the same problem, I'm recognized as an admin but no commands go through to the server on any channel, even though the group channel should work since we`re all in the "Survivors" group. *EDIT: yes it seems it's the rcon password, well that totally beats the purpose of having BEC with multiple levels of admins. At least for me..as I want to only give access to a few commands to my admins..not give them absolute power with rcon. Is there any other way of sending commands though to the server without needing to login using rcon pass ?
  19. It crashes for me too, after about 5 sec after login. I'm running Win 7 64bit. Please fix it, it seems like a wonderful tool compared to that stone-age BERCon
