I wish stary sobor had as much activity as elektro, or maybe just stary and novy that'd be great. never had a forest battle yet but you guys forget that joe casual requires instant gratifiction, why spend time going up to stary when you've already got your duped hacked in gear right here, why take a chance on 1 person being north when theres a higher chance of more new spawns being at the coast. Why the hell are we still spawning on the coast anyway? Maybe if all the spawns were completley randomized?

Yeah do that or stay in the forest with an axe forever untill you ultimatley get bored. Considering all the gear in the game is basically tools designed to kill other players logic would dictate you should kill other players. If that wasn't the case maybe instead of gun drops their shud be feather dusters, cup cakes and perhaps some S&M clothing. First u had the ghillie suit, and now we bring you, the latex gimp suit

Lack of any kind of late game objectivity and generalised boredom will create bandits, a joe casual player wud rather just run around with his gear he found killing untill hes killed. I dont kill other players i just feel bad about it whenever i have an unsuspecting sucker in my crosshairs. What I'm going to start trying to do is robbing people and make em drop their stuff on the ground, or just cripple them and mug their alice packs. altho i guess logging off kind of ruins that plan, but hey maybe some1 may want to get taken hostage for the novelty

So I was running along the coast road on some server with a public chat. Well not on the coast road, up the hill looking down on the coast road, and i saw two guys running down the road medicore gear - being chased by zeds. Then I scope at them and let some shots fly, I've never shot at anyone moving before so i missed a few before i bagged one down, all the while I was shooting at them (With that gun with the infrared) they were on the global comms begging me not to kill them, but I did anyway. I think its the first legit bandit kill I've landed, I felt like an asshole after doing it, but they were on the coast so they can respawn untill they find their corpses again. But is this the end game of Day-Z for a casual player? I havent committed to any specific server yet - am i supposed to just horde things? What do you guys do in DayZ after you get geared up?

god mode does exist, ive had someone spawn next to me and a friend, kill my friend all whilst im shooting him in the face

Yeah well it's all good I got taught a lesson by a hacker, I decided to take the risk of going to a high pop pub server to see if cheating has died down, nah of course it hasnt. The typical genius hacker just spawns in behind u and shoots you in the back, gg. Back to the good ole shit grind of going to a low pop server getting gear, then trying again in a high pop server, probably to get killed again and then back to the shit grind great circle, lots of shit. This game is such a total shit grind its unbeleivable. I can't remember the last time I was legitimatley killed. I guess then again if i had a clan or group of players to role with i wudnt be in so much trouble because we'd have a huge field of duped tents. But hey, single player ftw. i love shitgrinds

I also think its kind of impossible NOT to end up being a bandit though (from a single player perspective because im a lone wolf - that and im too casual to team up on this game) So i'm walking around Cherno and some new spawn walks into my view, hes got nothing and ive got a m14aim, im not sure if thats it, its the gun that takes the DMR mags that isnt a DMR. Anyways he salutes me and walks around with me, and then we go into a house in cherno, he picks up a makarov and starts shooting at me with it, well a few back scratches later i put him down with a couple of rounds to the face, and suddenly IM THE BAD GUY? I lose humanity for that ??? Oh thanks! Also this game is sooooo easily geared towards a co-operative experience, from the single player perspective it's just extra tedium added. For example, I imagine if you do lose humanity and u do have a group, well no problem, just blood transfusion till you make it all back, ta daa! For the struggling single player man, oh nooo sorrry pal, you gottah take a chance on helping someone who isnt going to turn their gun on you for the sole purpose of getting rid of that nasty bandit skin, i want my old grandpa skin back :/ On the subject of blood transufusions AGAIN another health regain soloution made easy for the co-operative player, they should be self administarable in some specific areas like a hospital! Regaining blood for the single player isn't hard its just fucking tedious let alone not very realistic - i mean think of it, got shot in the face by a hand gun? zombies just taken a chunk out of your arm? your at 3k health?! Oh don't worry just binge eat 12 steaks. Now i know this post has taken somewhat of a tangent from being about PvP to surviving as a lone wolf, but whatever i made this thread dag nabbit

If the game increased the zombie durability or dmg, OR removed military weapons and have the czsk as the only sniper rifle, and the m14 the only assault rifle, remove machine guns. then it might be scaled better. but as it is military weapons are really really easy to find, as are most other conventional weapons.

OK by key word do you mean Key Goal in the game? Because that cant be hard to do, kill a cow grab a couple of canteens and sit near some water untill u get bored? Do you think thats why the player count has dropped so low? People have experienced what it has to offer? I mean i tried the whole clan thing but got bored of following a team mate around who literally just wanted to hide all the vehicles to himself in a big stockpile. Or do people join clans to just PvP.

PCGN Fire488 PCGN Bobo Me and my friend killed them, then they both respawn back at the quarry with full gear. Both corpses originally had every piece of gear you could find, after killing both of them they both get back within a record time, as they both teleported. Name and shame

I'd assume ALT-F4ing could easily be remedied just give it a delay from when u hit alt-f4 and the in game character dissapearing

lol how do you know it was a chick, maybe it was a boy using the chicks outfit. i used to wear the chick skin just cos i thought it bought some flavor to the wilderness, and id rather watch a chick in game than some guy; then i realised i cudnt wear a ghillie suit as a chick skin, but then i found that you could customize your face in game so now im rocking the old man with aviators look

Good day to ye all, I just finished my fapp and was lazing in bed, forever busy. and i just randomly started thinking about day - z and why whenever i ever get to the point where i have a fair ammount of gear i play it less and less. Purely down to hackers, infact my first death in this game I got so blinded by rage - well thats a long story. Anyways 1 keyboard later I've decided to come on here and find out about private hives and wrangle someone into letting me join their private hive server? If you have a private hive server could you please let me join it i am a british person over 18. Thanks man!!!! (oh if you have a private hive but its like, empty 24/7, dont bother lol)

i have a phenom IIX4 995 (maybe) and a nvidia 460 GTX. Which is pretty even with what your setup is except u got more ram than i do, but no games are using that much ram anyway. I'm getting about 40-60 FPS. My only problem with my games performance of my machine is just the occasional stutter when i go to zoom in on something and itll stutter slightly for a bit, mostly this happens thru scopes and bionuclars, it clears up after a few seconds, just immersion breaking. Also bro it may be bad luck, and actually can be dependant on servers, some servers my FPS will be alot more choppy than other servers, so I hope you have atleast hopped around a good 5/10 servers.

Oh yes yes i can see your upbringing now living in the woods with the fairies and elves, and their telling you their stories all the time. Most basic story concepts and arcs can be traced back to these kind of foibles anyway. foibles. I still adhere that Slenderman sucks dick. What would be cool to add some mythos into the game was to maybe have bits of information scattered around the map, maybe some old note in an abandonded house. Perhaps even an elaborate treasure hunt. That'd be aiite.
