Me and my friend were on this server and my friend started getting shot at, so I tracked and killed the man. Turns out he had a Saiga 12K on him (luckily he was a bad shot and didn't kill my friend) and we looked around and we found a PKP near his body, along with a mag for it, and i'm also going to add that his Saiga didn't have any ammo on it. I studied his body and his name was Wesley Snipers. I thought everyone should know. I would add a screenshot but i don't know how to for DayZ.

What can you do, I looked it up as well. I'm sure the good ol' "Did you turn it off and on again?" trick will work on these principles, good luck.

That is, indeed, reinstalling DayZ. You're going to have to reinstall Arrowhead, maybe even Arma II (Unless someone else posts a better idea.) Try looking up some answers before you completely go into this time consuming event.

It all seems to be there... Try reinstalling DayZ, if that doesn't work try reinstalling your Operation Arrowhead.

List off all the things inside of your @DayZ folder, there might be a file missing that you need.

That is the issue, last time I checked you could refresh it by opening six launcher and verifying your game.

Go to \Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\addons is there a DayZ.pbo there?

Make a post about it, describe what the hacker was doing, why you suspect him and post some proof if you can along with it.

Try a less populated server, otherwise there are certain things you can do to prevent lag, try googling "Arma II run faster tips"

But if they aren't butthurt about it the admins wouldn't know exactly how many there are, would they? As much as it pains me to say, the butthurts are a good thing, without them we wouldn't know about how bad the hacking is and would dismiss the one or two cases that pop up, because on the off chance the butthurts detect a real hacker they can quickly catch and ban them.

So, here is how it all began, it started around I'd say 4 - 5 days ago, my friend and I had a bus and were driving our bus in the middle of nowhere (Near Grishino/Petrovka) and we were suddenly ambushed, I was fine with this and I even killed someone [DzF]Sir_Shadow88, and we lost the bus. We were fine with this, but then, we found the same people that ambushed us looting our base (NE of Petrovka, hardly somewhere that would draw attention) with our bus right there! we were surprised, and felt it was suspicious, but thought nothing of it. A day or two later we switched servers for ping and player count reasons, and yesterday I looked at the players in the game and I saw [DzF]Sir_Shadow88! Me and my friends were very suspicious of what was happening and were kind of wary, so I thought about the ambush and realized it was very well placed, like REALLY well placed. I thought about reporting it but ignored my senses because I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but suddenly just now my friend and I were at our base (Very east of Olsha) and were just adding loot to our camp and I then log out due to a bug (wont go into details, not important) and as soon as I log out my friend, with no warning or gunshot sound, dies. I quickly log back in after fixing the bug and find him dead on the ground, no gunshot wounds or bleeding anywhere, just dead. I panic and run towards where our car is and its gone. Just gone. I find this VERY suspicious, seeing as though we were so far away from town that it would have taken him longer to get out of the forest and on to the road then it would be for me to log in. I hope this can be resolved, I don't want to be chased by hackers and cheaters. EDIT: I've discovered Sir_Shadow88 is having the same issue me and my friends are. What the heck is happening?

This disturbs me greatly. I hope this dude isn't chasing me, because I'm changing servers one last time, and if he follows us it will just put the nail in the coffin.

Seriously? This is a minimalistic, brutal, game. You learn, and it won't get you anywhere to complain on a forum that consists of people who learned the game fair and square where everything wasn't handed to them.

I agree with Chaossound, this game has a 90 degree learning curve, and it should stay that way. This game is brutal, and if you get a gun in the beginning there's going to be a lot of unnecessary PvP.

Really? You're asking help on installing DayZ after you torrent CO? First off, I don't know anything about to the torrent or how you install it. Second off, I don't think anyone should help you. Purchase the game and then we will talk.

Try Vsync, It lowers your FPS by 5 - 6 frames but you might be able see.

Actually, that is a really great idea, I might have to try that. It adds a certain spirit that only can be found in RPGs.

Well seeing as though it was hacked in you should get rid of it. Throw it into a lake or the coast or something, as long as its gone and no one else can pick it up. As for the hacker, can you remember his name to help out the Admins?

Actually, whenever you log in you usually have 2 - 3 second delay before you can play, and people can just see you standing there, and besides, people will just logout in nearby bushes, that's what I do anyway.

It's the perfect 'noob' weapon because the ammo for it is abundant and you can find it almost anywhere. A lot of my friends use the weapon because of the jack of all trades style of it, I would personally use the AKM for the zeroing and the power (It also one shots zombies and can kill a player in the matter of moments on fully auto) but that's my opinion. Use whatever you're comfortable with. Also a good upgrade for the Winchester, when you find it, is the M14 AIM.

But see, if they're moved they may STILL spawn on someone, plus, if they are in a bush somewhere and spawn on a road or in an open field you could get killed even faster which isn't fun. You just need to watch your back more, paranoia is part of the game.
