What is Carbon Tactics? CT is a group of like minded individuals who share the same common goal, survival, dominance, protection, and fun. We will be focused on nothing except expanding our numbers with quality players and outfitting them with the best gear we can find. Which in turn allows us to find more people and get them geared. We respect that people play the game how they see fit. We are a Military Structured team. We have missions / overwatch / medic response / assault squads / mechanics. Doing it this way allows everyone to play how THEY want to play and to have the most fun. Do we use group formations? Yes, we move in small groups when on missions with each person performing a specialized role. The 4 roles being.... 1) Sniper/scout (long range shooter) 2) Trooper/recon (heavy infantry assault and/or stealth) 3) Medic (Heals/mends allies and light infantry) 4) Mechanic (finds/repairs/drives vehicles and light infantry) The 5th role is group/squad leader who can perform any of the chosen roles but also influences the direction of the team. What is the point of having small groups/squads? Well this game more than any other game really does reward this military type structure. You have a group Leader who is responsible for direction of the team, where to go, how to approach things. He decides the next move. He should feel responsible for both sucesses and failures of the group. Sniper role) Provides overwatch and is an excellent marksman. This person doesn't go into the city, he watches from afar and alerts to the squad what is going on around them. They are responsible for eliminating, upon command, as many people as needed to make sure the team leaves in one piece. Troopers role) These are the main infantry units who protects the medics/mechanics and attacks/repels any threats. They are who you want with you to get you out of any building. They will push through troves of zombies or a full unit of attackers themselves. They will put their lives on the line when you are in danger. They are also responsible for using stealth (and silenced weapons) for entering a city/hotspot prior to it's takeover and dispatching any hostiles. Medics role) They are in-charge of keeping the squad alive. They focus on holding epi-pins, morphine, bloodpacks, bandages, etc. They have a weapon with some ammo and food, but the others carry the supplies for them so that they can be the most efficient. Mechanics role) Much like a trooper, but he carries a lot of things that others don't and is responsible for maintaining/apprehending vehicles. Thus sacrificing the stopping power of weapons, but gains the power of mobility. Do we help people in need? Their are no rules against helping other people who need it, but it isn't one of our goals. What do we normally do in game? When we are in game, we will ALWAYS be active on some type of mission/task. The most common mission is performing hostile takeovers of cities/hot spots and killing off/looting everyone and everything. Can we give gear to new members? We help when we can and if it's not a serious hinderance to us. If you are with us, then we will make sure that you get geared so that you can play with us and feel like a part of the group. If you have been playing Dayz for a while, you know that gear comes and goes because it's so easy to die in this game. Do we have vehicles and a base? Top priority and the base will be located in a convenient location. Do we kill without reason? Sortve, almost every player in this game, armed with any type of weapon, can be a serious threat. We don't take chances with the lives of our team. And sometimes it is just fun to blast away at unsuspecting people. How do i apply to this Clan? You apply here by answering some basic questions with a few more complex questions that will determine if you are a good fit for this clan. As you get closer you hear multiple gunshots and sniperfire, you notice only 1 person dies. What do you do from here to get in and out as safely as possible? 2) You are playing as a heavy assault role, and as you are running with your 5-man squad near Stary Sobor, you hear a single sniper shot and 1 of your teammates gets killed. What do you do from here (and retreat is never an option)? 3) We are entering the city of elektro to give assistance to a wounded teammate located in the store. You are told their is 1 nearby sniper with range of the store and 2 nearby riflemen, all who are attempting to finish off our comrade. You are in command of a 5 man squad and must help him + eliminate the threat. What are your orders from here? That is all for the application, the better answers you give, the higher the chances you will be accepted. As far as acquiring our own server, it isn't out of the question but i will only consider it if enough members join. On average i kill about probably 5-6 armed players before dying. Favorite Gun/Combo: as-50 and l85-thermal scope. DayZ Clan Experience: not much clan experience. That way the devs of this game don't have to pretend they are doing anything about the rampant hacking/scripting that is taking place, and can just fix this problem without any real effort being put in. I had finally found all the weapons i wanted and a ghillie suit, when all of a sudden i hop to a server where the hacker instant /kills everyone with no warning. All the time spent into acquiring that gear, gone because some nerd wanted attention on a videogame. I don't see a point to really playing this game anymore without being able to script items in. Not gonna drive everywhere around a map collecting stuff, to get instantly killed by some dork for no reason. On a side note, I hope Warz beta opens soon, and this game will fall into the obscurity it belongs in. Would neg that cheeky Rocket irl for adding this broken game to such a sought-after genre.

This isn't true at all, a portion may be new spawns, but most of them are geared players. Going anywhere else with a group might prove fruitless because of inactivity, cherno/elektro will always have people in them on a high pop. server.

What is your age? - I am 23 years old. How long have you been playing DayZ? - Been playing for a bit longer then a month. Where do you live? - I live in Michigan/USA. What role would you prefer? (Assault, Sniper, Medic, etc) - I would prefer being assault/close combat as it's what im best at. What can you bring to SSrT that you promise no other recruit can? Hard question. Just thinking about it, upon most of the other recruits, i can provide a fun and engaging experience to the clan whilst still staying serious and using tactics to eliminate other people. 1) You're in base along with another member, and a group of three approach camp without showing signs. How do you react? Running out in the open or trying to flee is too risky now since they have entered the area. I would take cover with my member, inside the base we are currently in, then the others approach and enter the building, we would open fire as soon as they enter the doors. Once we eliminate all three and make sure the whole area is safe by scouting out the surrounding area, i would either get myself and the other member to get out of that building, one after the other. this is because we eliminated three ememies, however we dont know if they have a sniper watching the building. its safer if one of us runs out and makes sure the area is safe to flee from. 2) You're the Squad leader of the Assault team Alpha and your running across a field to gather Intel on a enemy position and your team is fired upon and two men go down. Whats your first order of action as squad leader? Order whatever troops i have left to take cover in nearby trees and find where the shots came from. If there is another squad online i would procede to call in re-enforcement. Whilst in cover hopefully then we could determine where the shots came from and procede with an action plan. If it was a solo bandit prefferable make sure he does not know where we are and procede to perform overwatch on the dead soldier. If it appears this was a counter-strike performed by the enemy, make sure our location is unknown to them if no backup is avaliable determine whether we can engage the enemy without losing the rest of the squad. If we could not kill them i would order a retreat with 1-2 guys as further recon to hopefully tract the attacks to there base at which point a formulated strike could be performed. 3) During a OP in cherno you and your team come across a survivor with broken legs asking for help. How do you respond? Cannot trust anybody at all. He is a stranger to us and we do not know him. it could be a trap or even bait to kill our team. I would leave him and be on my way.
